The principal opens her door and stands aside to let us in. She asks what we need to talk to her about, and Dave recaps the story about Veronica. He also talks about how this isn't the first time she's bullied me.

She thinks for a moment to herself, and tells us that she will call us back when she has figured out a day to bring all of us in to talk to her. She tells us to go to the front desk and the secretary will write us passes back to class. Dave and I headed to our class together.

The rest of the day went along smoothly, without too many hiccups. Only slight victory glances and smiles from Veronica and her crew, but nothing too major. I went with Dave to the front of the school and we waited by the parking lot for his brother to show up.

Behind me, I heard a voice that sent immediate shivers down my spine.

"[Y/N]!!! I got a call from the principal today! You are coming home, NOW!" My father grabbed my arm and jerked me towards him.

I gasp and choke on my breath, nearly falling. I try to pull my arm away, looking at Dave with terror in my eyes. Before Dave can react, my father has me stuffed in his car and he's climbing into the driver's seat. He's yelling and screaming at me, and people have their phones out recording.

My father zips away in his crappy car, still yelling about how furious he is. We pull into the driveway and I open the door, trying to bolt away. He gives chase and grabs my shirt, dragging me inside.

"You can't escape this time, you worthless piece of shit of a daughter!!" The door slams behind us and I fall to the floor.

I look at him, finally noticing the tears falling down my face. He approaches me, grabbing my backpack and forcing it off my body and across the room. He takes off his belt and wraps it around his hand, the belt buckle dangling.

"You really fucked up this time, eh [Y/N]? You really fucked up."

He brings his hand up, and I shield my face from his blow. I feel the belt buckle hit my side and cry out in pain. He repeats a few more times, aiming for my head. It isn't long until I black out from the pain.
