. . . . .

A while later, we arrived at Breanne's house, deciding to watch some Vampire Diaries before we started to get ready since we still had a few hours before the party started. I never understood why us girls had to be extra when it came to high school parties. We had to look all glitz and glam while the male species usually picked some old underwear and t-shirt from the floor and spray some cologne.

Once it was about 5, we each took a shower before getting ready. Jenna and I curled our hair while Tessa straightened it. Breanne had these gorgeous box braids so she didn't need to do anything with it but she did add some beads to make it stand out more.

Picture above is Ella's dress

"I look so hot." I haven't dressed up in such a long time, I really miss everything, you know, going out like a normal person who doesn't pig out in her room and not shower for a whole week.

"Of course you are. Always have been." Jenna said, shrugging.

I gave her a sad smile in return.

"Come on, bitches! Less frowning, more partying!" Tessa says, waving her hands in the air and I bet she is already intoxicated, considering she's been drinking the bottle of wine from Breanne's parents' wine cellar. Her family owns a wine company.

. . . . .

We arrive outside the party and we could already hear the music blasting and see the coloured lights flashing from the mansion. Breanne had to park a little further away for there were very little parking space and where there were had already been taken by early comers.

Jake sees us entering the house and comes over with a huge grin and a bottle of champagne in his hand.

"Hey girls, glad you could make it!" Jake shouted through the loud music. "Looking good, girls." He winked as Breanne laughed lightly, shaking her head.

"Hi, Jake." Breanne grinned, amusedly.

"Is that you, Ella? I haven't seen you at any party in forever! You look hot by the way." He flirted with a suggestive smirk but in a friendly way.

I chuckle. "Thanks."

Jake told us where the drink bar and stuff like that were at.

"Hey, Ella we're going to head off to get some drinks. Wanna join?" Tessa asked.

"No thanks. Go ahead. But not too far in case I want to leave alright." I say.

"Okay." the two of them say in sync as they head off somewhere.

Luckily Breanne was still with me or else I'll just be doing absolutely nothing.

Until, someone caught my eye.

Damien.

"Shit." I mutter to myself.

"What's wrong?" Breanne asks as she follows my gaze.

"Oh, Damien's here. Damn, he looks fine - why are you so worried about that? Worried all the girls won't be able to take their eyes off him?" She smirked suggestively, teasing me about my little crush on my brother's bestfriend.

I shot her an 'are-you-crazy' look.

"If Damien's here, my brother's here, too, and well I didn't tell him I was going to a party. So, if he knows I'm here, I'm as good as dead." I explain to her as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Just avoid them then." She says like it's an easy thing."Let's dance!"

"No, thanks." I declined, adjusting myself in my seat nervously.

A guy came over and started flirting with Breanne who looked really into it. I tried to ignore their flirting until he asked her to dance.

"Goodluck, babe!" B shouted over the loud music as she disappears among the crowd on the dance floor.

I went to sit at the bar and asked for some non-alcoholic juice. Then, I just sat there doing nothing. Told ya.

Everything was fine until my brother spotted me and let me tell you he did not look happy.

"Shit."
