Prologue

The young girl stood calm on the narrow river with the heavy rush of water brushing past her ankles. She was at the edge, it was not even shocking that she couldn't stumble down even with her fragile body.

She inahaled the fine air of spring, then satisfyingly breathed it out. She was ready.

At youth, she wanted to learn and be so many things. In other's eyes, her wish is frightful. Though to her, it's congenial.

What else could a nine year old do?

She listened thoughtfully to the sound of the stream, felt it, and went with it.

"Lily!" The sound of her father's deep voice echoed in the distance. "Liliette, dear! Where are you?"

Lily shrugged the call off. If she's going to do it, then it's today. Everybody knows she's a different, and her life is spinning in peril.

This is worth the try. She said to herself.

The afternoon sun reflected her silver chain necklace with it's pendant hanging lazily, she ran forward the falls then leaped off.

Before everybody even knew, she was gone.

She wasn't dead. She's still there.

Out of sight.
