Shit, this was not the way this was supposed to go, Mira thought to herself as she ran down the alleyway. She didn't anticipate his counter and that tiny overlook put her in the position she was in now. Running down an alleyway for her life.
"Mira, get back here. You can't escape this!"
"Fuck you!!" Mira was running as fast as her legs could carry, but with a sprained ankle, broken rib, and some head trauma, she wasn't making it very far.
I have to get out of here. I can't die like this. I can't leave them." These were the only words skimming across her mind as she felt herself starting to fall.
"Where's your little boyfriend to save you now? Huh, Mira?" He rolled her over and placed the barrel of the gun against her head.
Mira closed her eyes and waited. She knew she had lost, there was no hope left, and no one was coming to save her.
