Walking through the halls of this high school had me completely confused, the map of the grounds I received along with my timetable from the school office wasn't helping. Why did CHERUB send me here again?

Sighing, I glanced at the piece of paper in my hand again. Room D92 was the science room, my first class for the day, and as I looked at the door nearest me, it displayed C37, I groaned. I was never going to this damn class. Ahead of me students filled the hallway, some crowded lockers, others bulletin boards.

Summoning the last ounce of patience I had, I proceeded to find the science room, I told myself that if I didn't find it by the time the bell rang, I was ditching. I don't care if this way part of the mission, school was never my forte, and finding stupid classrooms in this labyrinth as a prime example.

The backpack on my shoulders weighed a ton and made dodging students as I attempted to find my class difficult, which was funny considering CHERUB training was extensive and agents were often pushed to their limits in more ways than one.

Struggling to focus between where I was going and locating the science room I didn't see the ginger-haired girl before me, thankfully I didn't send her toppling over.

"Hey!" She cried out whirling around with her mouth set into a snarl to yell abuse at the idiot who had just walked into her. However, the words I was bracing for didn't come as she suddenly froze, staring directly at me.

"This can't be happening..." she whispered, the next thing I knew she had grabbed me by my wrist and was dragging towards what I presumed was the toilets, ignoring the curious looks from the group of friends she was just with.

Pushing me through the door, she quickly checked the stalls before locking the main bathroom door, after all, an agent can't be compromised.

"Son of a bitch," she growled, pacing back and forth. "They had fucking send you, didn't they?" she glared, her brown eyes scrutinizing.

I swallowed. The girl in front of me was so familiar and I couldn't put a name to her for all my worth. "Camryn?"

She stopped pacing, her face softening slightly. "Matthias?"
