'Sarah, do you believe in ghosts?' I ask as we walk down the hall to science class. 'Sometimes, why?' She looks at me oddly, I take a deep breath, 'I know this may sound crazy, but I saw Jose last night' I pause, to let it sink in. Sarah's face goes white, 'How he's .......' I shrug, 'I don't know, but check this out,' I flick open my laptop and show her the email, 'What, is that the route John takes everyday?' She asks, shaking her head, 'Yea, and this, i didn't notice it last night, but...' I show her the bottom of the email. 'I miss you so much, sorry about what happened, I love you, JoJo' She looks at me stunned, 'Are you sure you're not making this up?' I shake my head, 'No, other than Joe Milas, no one is called JoJo, It's Jose, I swear it is. Plus, why would it have sorry about what happened?' Sarah sighs, 'I guess you're right, but why would he give you John's route?' 'I think Jose wants me to go find him, I mean it's right here, I knew he was still here, I think I should go and find him, he killed Jose, Sarah, He killed him.' Sarah shrugs, 'Up to you but I wouldn't risk it, what if he hurts you or something?I couldn't live with that, so if you're going to find him, i'm coming with you, besides if something happens you'll need back up.' She grins, and nudges me, 'Thanks, I won't let you down, i know its him, I just know it' Sarah nods, 'Did you get your assessment done?' I bite my lip, 'Oh, you're in big trouble, just hope it hasn't got to be into day, I'll come over after school and help you, but if it's today your screwed' I sigh, but look up at her gratefully.
As we enter the classroom everyone stares, I sigh, and feel really tempted to flick them off, but sarah glances at me and smiles, I close my laptop lid and find my seat at the back of the class, Sarah moves to the front. 'Right, class, we have to get the immunization topic over and done with today, has everyone read pages 60 through to 69?' Our teacher Mr smith asks, Everyone sniggers, I sigh and put my hand up as a way of saying yes. Mr Smith nods and turns to the board, 'Thank you, now, can anyone remember what is in a vaccine?' The students look at each other, 'Is it that it had dead or really weak viruses, like measles and the chicken pox?' I ask, Mr Smith nods, 'Well done Grace, yes, that's what's in one, now can anyone think of why it was any good?' 'Was it that the virus was sent into the body so that the body could create a natural defence against it? Or that it was a cost-effective?' I say once again. 'Yes, at least someone was paying attention, Now someone other than Grace tell me how a non vaccinated kid can be safe if surrounded by vaccinated kids?' I was about to put my hand up when Sarah beats me to it. 'Sarah?' Smith nods and points to her. 'A non vaccinated kid is at less risk of getting infected if surrounded by vaccinated kids, because the virus sorta bounces of the vaccinated ones, because they are protected.' I give her a look of surprise, then smile.
