Jane

Shutting the door to the coffee shop hurriedly, Jane blew into her hands in attempt to warm them. Glancing outside, she sighed in remorse at the howling wind and snow covered streets. So much for a simple coffee...

Removing her gloves, hat and coat, she folded them over her arm and joined the line that was nearly long enough to be out the door. She shuddered at the thought of snowflakes creeping inside the collar of her wolf T-shirt.

As the line slowly moved, crawling like a caterpillar towards the front, she breathed in. The smells, freshly ground coffee beans, fresh muffins and various perfumes, comforted her.

Like any other coffee shop in New York, this one had a gentle wooden theme too it. Wooden tables, wooden seats and wooden service bar. The light, varnished wood created a comfortable, airy buzz within the cafe. An atmosphere Jane found relaxing.

The line disappeared as it became Jane's turn.
