Then again, it's Jaxon and he can be unpredictable...

I put my face in my hands, feeling a headache coming on. "Qué burro. (What a dumbass.) Why did you leave?

"Don't worry, he's not going to die," Kyle said and I felt a pinch of relief. He didn't say that he may get hurt. "However, if he does try anything to hurt her, I'm ordered to hurt you."

That made me snap my head up at him and give him a hard glare. "You're not going to hurt me."

"I hope you know that all the tough talk you are doing is going now where." He smiled in amusement. "The heart monitor is giving you away from what you're actually scared."

Shit. He's right.

I snatched the clip on my finger off, making the monitor go dead. That's really getting annoying. "Maybe I am but, you aren't going to touch me."

"We'll see."

Jaxon please don't hurt that random woman...

JAXON

"Do you want some tea?"

I simply blinked at the girl before me as she sipped her scorching hot tea, hoping she burned the tip of her tongue. Christine sat the cup down on the table, elegantly while she eyed me carefully. The coffee place we sat in was playing peaceful and relaxing music. I surely didn't feel relax or at peace. It was so quiet in here because she had the whole place cleared out, of course.

There was a cup set down in front of me as if I had said yes. I only kept my guard up. The bodyguard was standing behind me on guard as much as me.

"This is Da Hong Pao, 'Big Red Robe'. It's pretty rich floral taste and the price was $12,000. My father bought the whole company since it's my favorite and knock the price up to 1.1 million. Try it, I bet you'll like it." She boasted.

I picked up the cup, putting it close to my mouth. I smelled the tea and it didn't have a rich and floral scent as she described it. It was sour but, a little floral still lingered. Just as I thought. I smirked, dropping the cup on the floor and she closed her eyes with a smile. "I guess my fiancé has been teaching you things."

"If you wanted to talk, why are trying to poison me?" I asked bitterly.

She didn't open her eyes at all as she talked. "Axel has been caught up in that poor gang of his. He's a Salgado. That family's net worth is almost as high as mine. That's saying a lot." She paused, taking a sip of her tea before continuing. "I need him to leave it behind and live with me since we have to make wedding arrangements for next several months. I don't like to be kept waiting and he's pissing me off." Even though she was angry, her voice still held clarity.

"I don't know why you're telling me this. I already know." I rolled my eyes.

She finally opened her eyes, showing her hatred for me that she's always had. "He's still holding onto the gang because of you. This is the only way for him to stay in America and still see you. I'm sure you know he still cares about you even though his actions contradict that."

I sighed, glancing out the window to the dark night sky. "Yeah... I know."

"I need you to leave the gang so he can leave." She demanded.

I scoffed. "You think I want to be apart of it? I've been trying my longest to get let go but, Axel keeps dragging me back in."

Christine was the one who sighed this time, rubbing her head in frustration. "Perché deve essere così persistente? (Why must he be so persistent?)" She asked in her Italian accent. I wasn't sure what she said but, I'm pretty sure it had to do with Axel. She rose her head to glare at me. "What is so important about you?"

"Well, before you came around, we were friends. Then your arrogant ass dumped marriage on his head and pushed him further into living life the way he is now." I said nonchalantly. A gun lightly tapped my head and I watched as Christine's glare grew colder. "Watch who you're talking to. I have your girlfriend being watch by one of my men. You do something stupid and she's hurt."

I clenched my fists, keeping my composure. Of course, she did... I took a deep breath as she began talking again and the bodyguard dropped the gun from my head. "I need that girl to be out of Axel's life too."

"She has a name." I snapped.

She rolled her eyes, continuing on. "He's claiming he loves Kimora to try and avoid marrying me."

"Hold on, what?"

She shrugged. "It's just a prediction. Those two haven't had any romantic actions with each other?"

I shook my head. "No. She hardly knows him."

"So that confirms my assumption." She said, sipped the last bit of her tea. "We're done here." She got up from the table and smiled. "It was a pleasure talking to you, Jaxon."

I smiled back. "Wish I could say the same."

She scoffed, heading out of the coffee shop with her bodyguard trailing closely behind her. I dropped the smile and let stress take over. I couldn't believe it. I actually believed Axel had feelings towards Kimora. It made sense of why he couldn't have loved someone he didn't know. However, the lengths he did to get her attention and do things for her made me believe so.

He was trying to win her over and make Kimora fall in love with him. Imagining Kimora actually loving him infuriated me... as well as make me sad. His "I love Kimora" was bullshit from the start. I clenched my fists so hard they turned white. Driving back over there and putting another few bullets in him didn't sound like a bad idea.

I got up from the table, stepping over the lady who was cleaning up the mess I made. I could address this the next time I'm over at the warehouse but, right now, I had to see Kitten. I'm sure she's awake right now even though it was late.

Hopefully, my parents lied and she doesn't have to worry about me...
