"Yeah I guess," I said.

"What the actual fuck, AJ look at this shit," she said, tossing the notebook over the table at him as he glanced up from his sketch. He read over this and he glanced up at me.

"Did you seriously just pull this out of your brain right now?" He asked. I nodded and he shoved the notebook back at me. "Unbelievable, you're just unbelievable."

"What?"

"There has to be some reason why you're writing this," Meg interrupted, sipping her coffee.

"Why?"

"You can't just pull this shit out of your ass like that."

"Meg I swear to god."

"What's on your mind lately?" She asked, taking my notebook again. I sat back in my chair and thought.

"Well Adam and my old school friends," I said.

"Okay, what about Adam?" I glanced at AJ who was paying attention now.

"Well, I guess, he's been working a ton and the other day I asked him if he wanted to get to know each other better, do activities that the other person likes and we haven't done that yet. He's been working the whole time," I said.

"Mmhmm, and what prompted this whole, getting to know issue?" I glanced at her. What was she my therapist?

"Well, I went out to coffee with my old school friends Dan, and when I mentioned Adam has never been here before he suggested that we get to know each other better, me and Adam. I sort of realized I don't know Adam."

"And this school friend? Why were you out with him?"

"Well, he wanted to catch up a little more so I suggested Krema. I haven't seen him in forever," I explained, sipping my coffee.

"How did you know him from high school?" I paused.

"Well, at first he was sort of my bully. Well not sort of, totally my bully until we started to hang out and he apologized. We were actually really close and I had a teensy crush on him," I said. "Of course I realized it was ridiculous to be friends with and crushing on my ex bully, but I really do enjoy having him around. Then I left for college super early and he got really mad and didn't talk to me. I left and now I met up with him so many years later."

I glanced over at Meg who had raised eyebrows.

"And when will I get to meet him?"

"Oh, I didn't know you wanted to, but I haven't talked to him in like 2 days," I said.

"Tell him to get his ass here now," she said.

"What if he's busy? Should I invite Phil too?"

"Phil?"

"Other best friend from school," I said. "Wait how did this go from you questioning the shit out of me to I want to meet your old friends?"

"Don't question it, it just be like that sometimes." She said. "I don't know, you've just been people deprived lately."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean all you do is go to work and go home alone and work some more. You have to start living. You have to start going off your emotions," she said, tapping my notebook. "Or you're going to make yourself too sad thinking about Adam." I paused and turned in my seat so that I was back facing the table.

"Adam may be a busy guy, but that doesn't mean you can't hang out with friends and do stuff you want to do. That way you can fill up the time he's gone and enjoy the time he is there," AJ added.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," I said. I had been alone a lot lately.

"Wait, was he the guy who was waiting for you outside work?" Meg asked and I nodded. "I didn't get that good of a look at him, but he's pretty handsome."

"Meg."

"Hey, leave me alone, my bisexual ass can't handle people anymore," she said and I laughed. "Cute he was waiting for you."

"Yeah I guess."

"He was waiting for you to finish work?" AJ asked. I nodded and he smiled.

"What is that look for?"

"Nothing."

"Tell me you little shit."

"Nah."

"Anthony James Pitsenberger, I swear to God." I paused as he reached over the table and ripped a small part of my paper. I gasped. "You bastard." Meg rolled her eyes.

"Just text them already, we aren't going anywhere."

"Fine."
