I looked up at my ceiling with tears in my eyes. How was I going to take care of a baby when I cant even take care of myself. Ethan would beat the shit out of Langston. River would kill Langston and rip him to shreds. I sat up with my hand over my heart. It was racing as if I just ran ten miles with no break.
My body carried me to my door. Inaudible whispers came from the other side of it. I let my body slide against the door. Footsteps filled the air. I knew the boys were going to try again but I really wish they stopped.
"Jazmine, let me in." Dylan whispered from outside my door.
Dylan was River's little brother. He's a tiny fifteen but his voice makes up for it. Dylan's been my best friend since the day I was born. Sounds cliche but our families go way back.
"Dylan, I fucked up." I whispered through the crack of my door.
He started to shake the doorknob aggressively. "Jazmine what's wrong open the door!" He shouted at me.
I stood up slowly. My legs waddled towards my bathroom. I ran a hot bath. My reflection in the water stared back at me. I saw a broken girl with a disgusting face. I wiped my snotty face with my sleeve.
"Jazmine what are you doing?!" Dylan roared.
I stepped into the bath. The heat felt good on my aching body. My body slipped under the water. For the first time in three years I felt free. Pounding and yelling came from my door but the water blurred the sounds.
I sat up slowly. My hands wiped away the excess water from my face. I looked down at my stomach. The hot tears started to fall once again. Most girls are excited when this happens, why not me? Maybe because I'm fifteen and just started my sophomore year.
"Jazmine open the fucking door!" A new voice shouted.
I didn't let my brain register the new voice as I went under water again. My body stayed down longer. It felt like I was floating on a cloud. Darkness took over my vision. My bathroom flew open. I didn't flinch at the loud bang noise it made. What was the point.
My body was jerked from the water. I refuse to open my eyes. I want this peacefulness to stay. My body started to shake. I opened my eyes slowly. River was the one shaking me.
"Jazmine what the fuck is wrong with?!" He shouted.
And there goes my peacefulness. I sat up in his arms. My body was freezing. I let my eyes close. River tightened his grip on me.
"Jazmine wake up!" He yelled. "Call nine one one!"
The room went silent. A floating sensation I once knew took over my body again. I smiled.
A bright blue light shined in the distance. All the boys were gone, it felt weird. A largely built man stood at the end of the hallway I was standing on. I stood up slowly, my legs were wobbly.
The man started to shake his head at me. He grabbed my hand before leading me to a dark corridor. I was confused. The lit corridor was the opposite direction.
"Excuse me." My voice croaked.
The man didn't stop. He just continued to shake his head. His feet weren't visible from his long pants legs. I looked around the corridor.
Every picture on the wall had a crack or holes through them. A picture of my mom pregnant with me caught my eye. She looked so happy. Ethan was kissing her stomach and so was my father. The man and I kept walking down the hall.
A picture of me starting preschool was on the wall. My hair was in pig tails. I was on my dad's shoulder. He was crying but I had the biggest smile on my face.
My eyes stared to fill up with tears. Why were we walking down here. A picture of Ethan and I meeting the pack for the first time. A picture of Dylan and I in the tub together while our mothers smiled. A picture of Langston and I after our first kiss. A picture of me on the first day of freshmen year. A picture of me with my permit and my mother's car.
I let my tears fall. They couldn't stay back anymore. The last four pictures made me drop to the floor. The first was of Dylan with tears coming out of his eyes. The second was of me drowning in my own tub. The third was of River cradling my body like and infant. The fourth and final picture was of my of Ethan closing my eyes.
"Im sorry ok, Im sorry!" I screamed at the large figure.
He stopped in front of two large doors. I ran towards him furious.
"I want to go home, I don't want to be here!"
The figure chuckled. "Why when our journey has begun?"
Bye Guys
