Hi guys!! Sorry I didn't update sooner, I was camping and I had no service.  Anyway, hope you guys like this part!!  This is the day after Annabeth had her nightmare.

Annabeth was overwhelmed with the amount of things she has to worry about. Most importantly, Perseus Jackson. On top of that, she was worried about the fact that Chiron's leg still hasn't healed and how she still hasn't found a boarding school in New York, definitely not to be close to Percy, but to be close to camp.

Annabeth woke up the next morning to the sound of the horn signaling that it was time for breakfast.  God damnit!! I slept in!!, she thought as she hurried out of bed to get dressed in her orange CHB shirt, jean shorts, and a pair of white converse.  She quickly put her hair up in a high ponytail, and raced out the door to meet the other campers for breakfast.

She couldn't help but stare at Percy as he ate his breakfast in silence.  She thought multiple times about going over there to sit with him, but unfortunately it was against the rules.  Finally, she gave up and sat next to him.  She immediately realized that she was sitting very close to him, but she decided against moving for fear that it might make it awkward.  Percy looked at her with bewilderment and something else. Was that excitement? No, it couldn't be? Maybe? Nope. Definitely not.

"What are you doing here?

"I don't know. My table was getting boring." Lie

"Oh, ok." Percy opened his mouth to say something, but quickly shut it.

Annabeth tried to ignore the fact that the whole camp was staring at her, even Chiron, but he gave them a break.  She figured it was because they had just saved the world.  Percy and Annabeth made small talk for the rest of breakfast.

As Annabeth did her daily activities, she couldn't help but wonder what Percy was trying to say.  She made her way over to the Big House to check on Chiron.  When she passed the sword arena she couldn't ignore how good Percy looked when he was beating the heck out of one of the dummies.  She soon found herself staring dreamily at him.  She woke up when she heard someone yell her name. "Annabeth!!" Percy said as he jogged over with a grin on his face.

"Oh, hi Percy!"

"Hey, I wanted to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"Why did you come to me the other night? I mean, you could have gone to Thalia or Chiron or Juniper."

" I don't know... I guess I just felt like you were the only one I could talk to about it. Plus, I wanted to see if you were ok."

"Oh, so you care about me," Percy said with a hint of speculation.

"Yes, Seaweed Brain."

"Well, I care about you too Wise Girl."

"Anyway, I have to go check on Chiron. See you at dinner."

On her way over Annabeth thought about her conversation with Percy.  Did he care about her in the same way? Why would he care that she found comfort in him? Did he even really care about her? Did he just say that so that he would know how she felt?  Chiron was healing well, so she raced off to tell Thalia about their exchange of words.

Thalia was even more excited than Annabeth.  "Well did you tell him??"

"Not exactly..."

"Annabeth!! You'll have to do it sooner or later!"

"I know..."

***********

Dinner rolled around and she might have been hallucinating, but she thought she saw Percy staring at her, but she quickly shook it off.  She caught Thalia's eye and she mouthed Tell him. Annabeth just stuck her tongue out at Thalia.

She was walking back to her cabin when she felt someone come up to her.  It was Percy.  "Hey!" she said as she smiled at Percy.

"So no sitting next to me at dinner tonight?"

"Oh come on!! That was a one time thing!"

"Oh, ok"

Was that disappointment in his voice?  They reached her cabin and they parted ways.  Annabeth fell asleep very confused, but also very hopeful.
