Darklings. A parasitic race of underdwellers said to be the inverse of the overdweller race, hilashians. While most of their culture is widely unknown (because no one cares about it), some information about their species had been compiled for those who are stupid enough to want to learn about them. Darklings are a race that is extremely sensitive to light of any sort, thus have become nocturnal, thus furthering the thought that they are the opposite of hilashians in many ways. They are able to move using the cardiovascular system that spans their entire body, pumping blood to their appendages in order to move them, much like a spider would. Their bones are soft and seem to be made of the same core substance as the rest of the body, seeing as they melt like all the rest when exposed to direct sunlight. They carry the inverse colors of hilashians, having shades of blue and green skin rather than the browns and pinks, and their hair colors are usually unnatural in the same way - although blacks, greys and whites for hair colors is also a common thing within their race.

Hello! So. I've been creature building for quite some time now, and I think I've finally come up with enough to share it to the internet. For those of you who know my original world/story, Twelve Realms; you'll know one of the main characters, Nixs, is a creature know as a darkling. Now, what exactly is a darkling you may ask? Well, I don't know why you would be asking that because I literally just explained that through these drawings.

Anyway. Yeah. This is a thing I did now. Of course, this isn't all of the information, but all of that is still in the works, so... This is what I got so far.

I tried using colored pencils again, and despite me being rusty with them, I think this turned out pretty well. I'm proud of it either way.
I love my boi, as horrible as he may be.

"A page full of doodles"

This one here was a color challenge I did with my friend Saph last time she was over. I, for some reason, wanted to draw Cotta (my sloth demon child) and even though she has a more cool color palette of blues and purples, I think the oranges and coppers work really well for her.

This was a bit of an art block drawing, that Saph suggested I do to help get out of my rutt. A two headed snek. And, I really like the end outcome with it. I used the same ballpoint pens I used with the drawing of Cotta, and I think the finished outcome is really pretty.
