Panic Attack

49 5 1

The shock overwhelms me.
I bring my knees to chest.
I rock back and forth,
No control over what happens next.
The panic has crippled me.
I yell and cry but I can't move.
Around me, people are frantic,
They try to calm me down but to no avail.
The tears stream down my face,
I don't know what to do.
They tell me soon the shock will pass,
I need to breath,
I need to relax,
I need to stop,
But I can't breath,
My heart is racing.
I can't relax,
It's like I'm dying.
I can't stop,
I just can't make it stop.
