Prologue

You were at the park by your house alone. At the time you were only 5 years old. Playing at the park was fun for you. You had a soccer ball with you, at the time you weren't any good and didn't really have friends.

So there you were, in the field kicking the ball into the net. For some reason you found it amusing. You were about to go for another kick but suddenly stopped, 2 guys were approaching you, they looked about 3 years older.

"That's a pretty nice ball you have. Why don't you give it to us?" One of the 2 asked in a menacing voice trying to grab the ball.

"No get your own ball if you want one!" You said, even as a child you always stood up for yourself. Feisty and firery. Maybe it wasn't the time to be like that, One of the 2 boys infront of you pushes you the ground. The other 1 grab your ball and run. You scream and run after them, but you are too slow. Out of nowhere a little boy that looks around your age trys to shove the older one with the ball, it doesn't do much but it gets him off balance and he drops the ball. It rolls and you quickly run and scoop it up.

You look to the boy to thank him. Only to find him getting pushed by the older ones. You being you, go up to the two and kick the ball hard in one of their faces. It hits his nose and starts to bleed. He starts to cry and run away. The other one quickly follows scared to have the same fate.

You help the little boy up. "Thank you for helping me," you say.

"No problem, thanks to you too" He says with a smile that reminds you of a bunny. You smile too. "What's your name?" He asks.

"My name is Y/N, what's your name?" You ask the boy.

"My name is Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook. " He says. "Let's be friends!"

You smile even brighter than the sun. A friend, you never thought you would have one. "Ok let's be friends, Jungkook,"

"Y/N, your my best friend in the whole wide world! I can't imagine you not being with me," Jungkook says to you. While looking up at the stars. It was a beautiful night, you were staying over at Jungkooks house for a sleep over.

Looking over to Jungkook, you say "I never want to leave your side. I want to stay bestfriends with you forever!"

"Ok, I will make sure it happens. Pinky promise." Jungkook says turning to you with his pinky stretched out. You stick out your pinky and pinky promise. At that moment you have never felt happier. You were so happy you would remain bestfriends forever. Jungkook felt the same, he wanted to have you with him forever. Little did you know that it would not last forever.

"JUNGKOOK, Y/N! COME IN NOW ITS GETTING LATE!!" Jungkooks father yells from the door. You rush into the house tired and ready for slumber.

"Wait what.... we are moving from Busan?!" Jungkook says in alarm. "Why are we moving? I don't want to go!" He screams, all he can think about it leaving you. You two promised to stay bestfriends. To never leave each other.

"There is an amazing job opportunity for me in Seoul, it will benefit us in many ways!" Jungkooks mother states. He can not take it though, he doesn't want to leave. Jungkook runs out with his parents yelling after him. Jungkook runs to the park that is conveniently very close to both of your houses. He sees you sitting on the swings, you see him and a smile forms. More tears are streaking down his cheek as he approaches you. You face falls at the sight of your bestfriend in tears.

"J-Jungkook are you ok?" You ask and jump off the swing.

"I-I'm moving, Y/N. I'm m-moving to S-Seoul. I won't see you anymore. I'm sorry," Jungkook says, it is a lot to take in for you only being 10. You feel like crying too, but you remain strong.

"It's ok Kookie, We can still call each other every day. We can visit too." You say, hoping that your friendship is strong enough to withstand this. Although you realize that it will be difficult to remain bestfriends. "And I," you choke up a little. "I understand that you will have to make new bestfriends."

"Are you crazy? No matter what you will stay my bestfriend. Even if you can't always be with me." Jungkook says, you feel a little bit happier. Just then Jungkooks parents run to the park after finally finding him.

"Don't run away like that again! You nearly gave us a heart attack!" His father scolds.

"You really worried us Jungkook," his mother says. "Its time to go, come on." His mother begins to pull him away.

"Wait, wait , wAiT! I have to say goodbye." Your bestfriend breaks free and goes up and hugs you. You hug him back. "I won't forget about you, ok. So you better not forget about me."

"I swear I will not forget about you! Remeber to call me. We will talk every day!" You say sounding hopeful.

"This isn't going to be forever, but goodbye Y/N." He says also sounding hopeful but sad.

"Goodbye, Jungkook. Let's meet again." You say, sorrow sinks in.

You watch him disappear from sight before running to go back yourself.

"JUNGKOOK!! waDDA UP TO TODAY?" You yell over the phone. It has been three years and the two of you are still bestfriends. Like the promise said, you never forgot him, called practically every day, and went on many visits. Sometime he came to visit you.

"SHUT UP!" Your younger brother grumbles.

"FINE!" You yell back. It causes your older sister to yell at you too.

"plEASE CAN I HAVE ANY PEACE AND QUEIT?! I'M ACTUALLY BEING PRODUCTIVE AND STUDYING!" She says. You go back to the phone.

"NOTHING REALLY! Finishing my homework, what's up with you?" He asks, his voice cracking in between. You laugh at his voice changing. "Don't laugh at my voice crack!" He whines.

"Jungkook you sure crack me up," You say, silence on the other end. "You see what I did there right? Like crack as in your voi-"

"This is why no one likes you," Jungkook says and the line is dead. He hung up. You laugh at your own joke, he never likes your jokes.

You dial his number, after one ring he picks up. "No one but you likes me and I'm fine with that," you say.

"Ok fine one person does," he laughs.

Present day

"Y/N, we have something to tell you." Your mom says in serious tone, making your curiosity bubble.

"We have decided to move to Seoul, we are going to move onto the same street as the Jeon family. There you will attend the same school as Jungkook." Your dad says with a smile. You stare wide eyed. What the hell? I'm moving! You think.

"Wait really? Are you serious? We are moving!" I say jumping up and down. I hug my parents .

"We thought it would be best for you and your younger brother. Also for you older sister, since she moved there to act. And your brother has always wanted to live there. And ever since that toxic situation with Jooheon" Your mom says.

"We also have a pretty big house out there it will be much better than this one," You dad tells you.

"When will we tell Jihyung? When are we telling Jisoo" You ask since your younger brother isn't there but at a friends house. And well your sister already lives in Seoul.

"We will tell him as soon as he comes back," Your dad says. Excitement roars through you. Finally going to be reunited with your bestfriend. If only you knew what would be in store for you.
