The sun was beginning to set beautifully over the four teenagers helplessly infatuated with each other, the scene was right out of a story Anne would have read during tea time with Diana and Ruby. While the sun was gliding out of sight the four had lined up next to each other, Anne and Diana in the middle with the boys on either side. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Slowly Anne leaned into Gilbert, resting her head on his shoulder, as did Diana did to Charlie. However, Anne didn't want to seem weak, she was very subtle about every movement. Thinking everything through in her head, very out of the ordinary for Anne. It was becoming inevitably dark, Anne and Diana exchanged cheerful but sad looks as they knew it was time to go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Charlie stood up dusting off his pants, then putting out a hand for Diana to grasp. Gilbert did the same, but Anne did not take his hand as Diana did, she simply stood up and glared at his hand. Small chuckles erupted from Diana and Charlie as Gilbert playfully rolled his eyes. He was too in love to let it go, he set out his hand again, this time Anne took it respectfully. The group arrived at the Berry's abode first. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Diana shot a loving yet series look at Anne suggesting that she moved a few feet back. Anne obliged and walked away a few steps dragging Gilbert. After a few moments she realized she was still holding onto Diana's now. She had taken it to admire it a few moments earlier. She turned around to see a surprising sight. "Di-" Anne was cut off my Gilbert tugging on her arm asking her to let them have there moment. She noticed the boys lips pressed against her friends. Gilbert and Anne decided now would be the best time to make a silent exist.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anne and Gilbert walked rather quietly back to green gables. Anne held his hand, though she would be mortified if anyone saw. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

'Gilbert John blythe, don't mess this up. What will bash say? Wait am I meeting her here for the dance. Should I ask? Should I be spontaneous?' He questioned to himself. He turned his head to see the beauty gazing at the moon, bright. He starred as if he had never seen anything as glorious. He was content. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once the pair had arrived at green gables Anne smiled up at him. His hazel eyes flared down adoring her to the fullest extent. He couldn't a little to clear his throat. "So, shall I come get you tomorrow before the formal?" He questioned in such a way that Anne practically melted that spot. She was so flustered in his company. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"I'll meet you by the town hall at 6:15." Anne smirked up at him. They were awfully close. However Anne didn't mind, she felt protected. A strange unusual sense of comfort washed over her. He nodded in approval. Anne noticed Marilla in the kitchen setting the table, she knew she should be Off, but she would give anything to be in the moment just a moment longer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Marilla, was I late?" Anne asked the woman setting the table. "You're fine Anne." She reassured her promptly. Mathew rushed inside tidying up before sitting at the table. Marilla said grace again tonight but Anne didn't mind, she knew she would end up babbling on and mention Gilbert. She listened politely. "Amen." Everyone said in sync. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dinner was quiet, Marilla presumed that Anne was still upset with her however Anne was simply caught up in her fantasies. Dinner was quick, Anne didn't help with the dishes that night, she ran up to her room and closed the door. The had gone one longer and Anne fell asleep. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was the morning of the dance, Anne hated that she had to sneak out but it was much to late to turn back now. She headed down stairs and put on the worst attitude she could rial up. She was actually quite disappointed in herself for the things she was about to say. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Marilla, I've decided to let you know that I am strongly enraged at you and your decision and wish to spend the rest of the day alone in my room and not be bothered." Anne didn't wait for a reaction from Marilla as she stomped back up the stairs. She knew well that Marilla would allow her to say in her room through the day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A year strolled down Anne's cheek, she hated to disrespect Marilla like that but she knew it was the only way. The formal was in a few hours so Anne decided to catch up on reading. Anne was lost in her thoughts when she realized that 6:15 was an hour away. She sprung to her feet and ran to her closet, picking out the nicest dress she could have found. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Meanwhile at the Blythe residence Gilbert was a nervous wreck. Bash starred at him run around his home in panic, in amusement. Finally Gilbert had decided he was ready, Bash decided it would be fun to torture him a little bit more. "You've got her a present, haven't you?" He questioned in a relaxed manner. This of course sent Gilbert off. "Blythe, I kid with you child! Be a man." Gilbert glared at him obnoxiously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was time, Anne decided she should be heading out. The night before she studied her window and the tree outside of it, she created a path down the tree that was almost completely silent. With a few hops she had made it down the tree and was ready to head away from green gables before she was caught. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sparks, magic, it was magnificent. They arrived at the exact same time and ran to each other romantically. The pair walked inside room to notice Jerry pleading with ruby to listen and Josie starring at them disgusted in the corner. The day light faded away and it was beautifully lit, Anne's hair glimmered in the light beautifully. Gilbert was stuck in a gaze. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
