Chapter Eleven

Demi and Joe strolled around the whole woods the nght after the kissing scene which was the first communication they had since then.

"So am I really that bad for a kisser?" Demi asked as Joe chuckled.

"No, not at all. Why would you think that?"

"It looks like you were in a hurry to get it over with." Demi said as Joe chuckled.

"I thought we were supposed to act?" He said.

"Well, yeah, but you threw Nick's phone in the water."

Joe rolled his eyes and stopped in his tracks looking at her. "Don't you think it's kind of annoying when you're kissing someone you like and someone interrupts you?"

"Yeah, but...wait what?" She asked. "You l-like me?" Demi stuttered as Joe smiled and held her hands.

"Truthfully, I've been wanting to tell you that since the canoe ride." Joe said cupping her face. Demi closed her eyes and held Joe's wrists as he kissed her. "Does that mean you like me too?" Demi smiled and nodded.

"Yes, in fact I do like you."

Joe curved his eyebrows. "Since when?"

"The day I first met you, then it stopped, then it came back when you were acting so nice to me before Taylor broke up with you."

Joe smiled and nodded holding her hands. "Do you wanna go public?"

"Let me think about it." Demi whispered kissing him again. Joe smiled kissing her back. Demi's eyes widened when a flashlight focused on them.

"Woah..." Nick said dropping his jaw. Joe and Demi pulled apart as Demi's cheeks turned red. "What the hell is going on?" Nick asked even though he knows.

"Nothng." Joe said letting go of Demi's hands.

"Ooh..." Nick said smirking. "You guys are in big trouble." Nick said laughing.

"Nick don't tell anyone." Demi pleaded.

"Of course, not after Joe throws my phone in the water. I totally won't tell anybody." Nick said in a sarcastic tone.

Joe was about to launch at him, but Demi stopped him. "Think about what you're going to say next because I know that it won't be your phone next time." Joe said,

Nick held his arms up in surrender. "Okay, I won't, just chill for a minute." Joe relaxed and put his arm around Demi's shoulders. Nick was confused now trying to take everything in. "How did this happen?" He said pointing at them as they started walking.

Joe shrugged keeping his arms around Demi. "Actually, today. We started to talk when Taylor broke up with me."

"That's awesome Joe. Move on so fast there." Nick laughed as Joe punched his arm.

"Shut up." He said as Demi giggled,

"So you're okay with this?" Nick asked Demi as she smiled proudly and nodded her head.

"Yeah, I was just waiting from an apology which he did."

"You guys do know that you have to tell the others eventually, right?"

Demi sighed dropping her smile. "I know, I just wanna see if this works out."

Joe smiled down at her. "It will, trust me." He said making her smile as they kissed once again.

"Gross." Nick said covering his eyes. Demi laughed slightly still staying in the kiss as she wrapped her hands around his waist.
