Ashlynn's POV
I woke up the next morning with a bouquet of flowers on my nightstand.
There was a pink note by the vase.
I sat up and picked the note up with my good arm.
Ashlynn,
I know I have caused you a lot of pain. But I am also in pain. I crashed into your car about a week ago, right in the drivers door. it was completely my fault because my light was red. I had been driving home from a breakup and I was too upset to pay attention. I have already paid insurance and your car is in the shop now. my dad is a lawyer, a really good one too, so he has paid for your medical bill. I am in the hospital right now too. I have a broken leg, and have deep cuts on my chest. if you want to come see me, come to room 11 on the 3rd floor.

"Shawn!" I yelled.
He came running in really quick.
"Yeah?" he stopped quickly.
I held out the note and he read it.
When he was done he looked at me.
"Will you take me to the hospital?" I asked
He nodded and helped me out of bed.
He helped me get dressed because my arm still hurt really bad and I wasn't supposed to move it that much.
My head pounded as he put my hair into a ponytail.
He took me downstairs and took me to the car.
He turned on the radio and drove to the hospital.
We went to the elevator and clicked the '3' button.
We walked to room eleven.
My doctor, Adria was standing by his bed.
"Hello hun!" she smiled.
I smiled back.
"Um carter, wanted me to see him?" I stuttered on his name.
He sat up and smiled at me.
He had a black eye and a busted lip.
"I guess I'll leave you guys" dr. Adria smiled and left the room.
"You're prettier than I expected." carter slightly smiled.
I blushed a little.
"I'm extremely sorry for the crash..." he spoke softly.
Shawn put his hand on my shoulder.
"Thank you for the flowers. and for paying the medical bill..."
It was silent in the hallways.
"It was the least I could do."
It was awkwardly quiet in the room until the doctor walked in.
"Carter you should be out tomorrow, we just need to get you a cast." she messed with the stethoscope around her neck.
He nodded and slightly shifted his leg.
Shawn whispered in my ear.
"Cameron said he was going to take you out to lunch. we better get going.."
I nodded and walked over to carter.
"We better get going."
"Okay just read the back if the note ok?" he smiled
Okay?
"Um alrighty. bye carter." I smiled walking out the door.
When I got home I carefully applied makeup to my face and waited for Cameron to pick me up.
As I sat on my bed I noticed the note again.
I flipped over the note to see little writing at the bottom.
It was a number, his number.
Then it said "xoxo carter"
I put it in my phone and herd a honk outside.

When Cameron and I arrived at the restaurant we got shown to a table.
I looked around me and spotted someone I recognized.
Elizabeth from work, the one Jack cheated on me with.
She was siting alone.
The waiter came over and ordered our drinks.
When I glanced back up at Elizabeth, my mouth dropped.
