Save me ~ Mikey Way x Reader

XV ~ Boardwalk

"Oh yeah. It was a good three seconds." replied Gerard. Mikey rolled his eyes at his brother, but not in a mean way. Like in a 'of course' kind of way.

The five of us walked out of the coffee shop and I looked up things we could do in the area. A few things caught my eye. Aquarium, arcades, fishing, boa-

"BOARDWALK!" I screamed while jumping up and down. A few people stared at me like I was crazy but I'm pretty sure I am so who cares. Ray's eyes lit up in excitement.

"I am so down for that." Ray said, hardly containing his excitement. 

"How far is it?" Mikey asked, peering over my shoulder to see the page on my phone.

"It's a little over a mile away." I answered, looking up at the boys for approval. Ray violently nodded his head while Frank gave a thumbs up. Gee shrugged with a smile and Mikey replied with a 'sure' and a smile. With that, we started off in the direction of the boardwalk. I had Siri give me directions for walking so I wouldn't have to keep looking down at my phone. 

Gerard walked next to me while Mikey was up front with Frank and Ray. 

"I've never been to L.A. before." Gerard said while looking around the street.

"Me either. Although it has always been on my list of places to travel to." I replied. Gee over at me amused.

"You have a list of places you want to travel to?" Gee questioned with a smile. I nodded. "What are some of the places that are on it?"

"Let's see..." I took a second to think of places that I've always wanted to visit. "New Orleans is high up on that list. So is Paris. I know. Basic." Gee laughed to himself.

"New Orleans is a fun place. We stopped there for a day or two on our last tour. Great place is you're a party person." 

Neither of us spoke for a bit until I brought up something that I shouldn't have done here.

"How have you been doing with the whole uh... situation." I asked. Gerard frowned.

"It's been tough but I'm trying. I really am. I've never wanted to do something as bad as getting clean y/n." 

"Have you done anything since then?" I asked nervously. Gee looked down at his arms which were covered by long sleeves. I took his arm into my hand and rolled up this sleeve. Gee resisted until his sleeve was up.

"Don't do that here." Gee said while forcefully taking his arm back and bringing his sleeve back down his cut up arm.

"Why?"

"Because I don't want people seeing th-"

"No. Why did you do it?" I began to feel sadness take over my voice. He looked down at the ground shamefully.

"It helps take my mind off of the withdraw. Every time I find it hard not to take pills, I cut." Gee rubbed at his arm. I sighed, realizing I shouldn't have done this here.

"We can talk about this late. I'm sorry I brought it up. Let's just enjoy L.A. right now." I forced a smile. Gerard smiled back but he still had sad eyes. I've noticed this about him recently. Every time he smiles, its just sad eyes on a happy face. I can't blame him though. It's not easy to just be happy.

"Y/nnnnn are we there yet?" Ray whined from behind me. Frank, Mikey and I were leading with Ray and Gee behind us. I turned back with a small laugh.

"How about you open your eyes bud." I replied. He looked confused until he saw the giant sign indicating we were at the entrance to the boardwalk. Ray's eye lit up once again as he raced to the entrance. I held back from running so I wouldn't seem childish but it was hard.
