Tour Turned Into Horror

Me, my mom and dad went to Florida to visit my grandparents. They lived about an hour away from St. Augustine. So since I thought I liked scary stuff, and we knew St. Augustine is Haunted, we went.

That night we went on a tour around the city. It was about 10:00 pm and I was tired and wanted to see something scary. Right around the first or second stop, the Tour Guide told us that "Around the 1800′s a young boy around the age of nine, always used to come to a cemetery where his father was buried. But it was a private cemetery so he wasn't allowed in, so every time the guards came by, he would hide in a tree right next to his fathers grave stone," I was getting scared now "But one day he got in the tree, and fell and broke his neck and died right on top of his fathers grave. They say only children from the age of 1 – 11 can see him."

There were only two kids on the tour, me and this other little girl a couple years younger than me. I was 9 at the time. But I thought it was fake that only little kids could see them, so I just looked in the tree, just to look and I saw feet swinging! A bot in overalls, neck turned, and a hat was sitting in this tree and was staring right at me. I asked my dad if he could see him, but my dad thought I was crazy, but I wasn't. I heard the little girl say "Mommy, do you see that boy?" that is when my heart sank and I figured out that what I was seeing was real.  

The last stop wasn't as scary, but I was still shocked on what I was. We went to St. Augustine's oldest and most haunted jail. we walked in and all the lights went out. My dad was so focused on getting a picture of an orb (a ball of light that only appears in pictures that are supposed to be a human spirit). But my dad was using a camera we used just before we left for the trip. But something odd happened. When the lights went off, so did the camera, it just shut down! It was a brand new camera and there was no explanation for it to turn off the same exact time the lights did. To make it weirder, when my dad took the battery out and turned it back on again, there were 3 pictures my dad didn't even take! One picture were of just a ball of light in the middle of the screen, the second was a blue strip going through the center of the picture, and third a red ball in the middle of the picture.

Our tour guide told us that red orbs are demon spirits and cause harm, that orb caused harm. After all the lights went out, the tour guide told us to go out side to the gallows. So we walked down the steps. The lady at the very end, no one behind her, was pushed and fell down a whole flight of stairs and broke her leg.

We were grateful we weren't hurt, but I was scared to death, and will never forget that night and how scared I was. I know what I saw and I will never forget it!
