You see in black and white
While I see in color,
And no matter how hard I try
I can't seem to get you to see
What I see.
You see darkness
While I see light.
You see sadness
While I see happiness.
You are hopeless
While I am hopeful.
You can't see the things I see.
You only see in black and white.
I try to paint color
In your life
So you can see
What I see,
It doesn't work.
You push me away
When all I want to do
Is help you.
Your eyes are dark,
And blank,
Every time I look into them.
They don't light up like they used to,
And I don't know what to do
Because all you see
Is black and white.
Maybe,
I'm what caused you to see black and white.
Maybe,
I did something wrong,
But,
If she makes you see colors
And I don't,
Then she is the one for you
And I'm not.
Just please don't take
The color out of her life
Like you did
To me.
