What A Small World

"Okay," he responded.

As we go to the office the man who claimed to be my dad was waiting for me. I honestly didn't care if he was my dad.

"Ana, Alex," Aiden greeted.

"Aiden," Alex replied.

Aiden handed me a piece of paper and it was my birth certificate. Under father it said, Aiden James Dosen. I handed it back to him. "I don't care that your my biological father, if that's even true."

Aiden looked hurt. "It is true. Are you going to push away the only family you have left?"

I shrugged. "I'm used to not having a family." With that, I left Alex and Aiden. I still found it unbelievable that Aiden was my biological father. It made me angry.

"Are you okay?" Alex asked as he came into my office.

"Yes."

"Maybe you should give him a chance?"

I looked up at Alex. "Why would I?"

Alex shrugged and leaned against my desk. "He is your family after all."

"He is not my family."

"Ana, just consider it."

I didn't say anything.

"I think you should give him a chance."

"Why do you keep pushing this?" I asked annoyed.

"I just don't want you to regret this later."

"I don't know Alex."

"Just do it for me, please."

I just stared at him for awhile. "Fine," I caved.

Alex grinned and placed a kiss on my lips. "Thank you."

"What am I supposed to do?"

"Well Aiden invited us to dinner tonight at his place."

"How wonderful," I say sarcastically.

"Try to have a good time."

"Are you close with your parents?" I asked curiously.

"When I was little but not really anymore."

"What happened?"

"I'm always busy and working on this company, so I guess it naturally happened."

"What's up with you and Grayson."

"My father is going to pass on the company to one of us. And we both want it," Alex sighed.

"How is he going to choose?"

"He's going to give it to the one who he thinks is best fitted and looks the best for the company. That's why I came up with the plan to marry someone."

"What if Grayson told your parents?"

Alex shrugged. "I doubt he would do that. He has no proof."

"What if he does the same thing as you?"

"Never going to happen," Alex stated.

"Why's that?"

"Grayson wouldn't be able to pull it off. He would never be able to act like he was in love with someone unless he really was."

"That's kind of sweet."

Alex sent a death glare my way. "He's into you Ana."

"I know." I felt guilty about leading him on. I really do.
