It had been around a month since Autumn's first day and she had settled in quite nicely. Kerry, Georgina, Thomas, and Janice became her group and she spent the majority of her time with them. Unsurprisingly, Autumn didn't really make any friends outside of that group with the exception of Stone.

Despite a seemingly large portion of the people at the school being scared of him, he was kind and sweet towards Autumn when they met everyday to "practice" his monologue. The word practice could be used only loosely, because the extent of his practice was occasionally reading a small part of his piece (his eyes usually boring straight into Autumn's soul) and then switching topics.

Their days in Drama were filled with discussion. They covered mundane topics like the news, weather, and random school gossip, as well as their pasts, family, friends, and their plans for the future. All in all, Autumn found that she was growing very fond of him very fast. It was odd to her, because she had never had a relationship with a boy that passed acquaintances or friends. She was nervous at how deep her feelings towards Stone were growing, because in her mind he couldn't be further out of her league.

"Fall! Hey, Fall!" Kerry screamed across the hall from her locker, waving her hands wildly at Autumn.

About a week after meeting, Kerry decided that Autumn's name was "too long" and resolved to call her Fall. Now, the only people that didn't call Autumn "Fall" were Janice (because nicknames are "annoying and serve no purpose") and Stone.

Panting, Kerry ran like a bull straight into and through the packed walkway, knocking a couple smaller freshmen to the side like bowling pins. Autumn tried not to groan, knowing what Kerry was trying to flag her down for.

"I found him!" Kerry squawked, "The perfect guy for you!"

Autumn shook her head vehemently, "Nope! I'm fine without one, I've lasted this long and I have no desire to change that right now."

"Every girl needs a high school boyfriend! Someone to laugh about in college and tell silly stories about to your children." Kerry was bouncing around next to Autumn as she tried to escape to her last class.

"Listen, Kerry. I don't want to date any of the guys at this school-" Autumn paused as her mind flashed to Stone.

"Please! Just this one time! It's with a really nice boy, who I guarantee with be nothing, but a gentleman and at the least could make a good friend." Kerry gave Autumn puppy dog eyes.

Autumn weighed out the pros and cons in her mind. Pros: Kerry would leave her alone, she would have an excuse to go out and do something, she would make some memories for once. Cons: Autumn was super awkward around most boys, it could go terribly, the guy could be a serial killer, she may be forever scarred by this and may never want to go on a date again.

"One date." Autumn sighed, "One blind date and then you leave me alone about guys for good."

Kerry squealed and jumped on Autumn's back, nearly making her collapse. As Autumn tried not to tip over, she felt an arm grasp her around the waist to support her. Stone.

"Careful, Sweetheart. Don't let yourself get hurt." He said the last part with a glare aimed at Kerry. He was wearing a red jacket to signify his status as a student council member and Autumn bit her lip at how good the color suited his golden tan. His hair was dark and curled loosely, it was only a few shades darker than his eyes which always seemed to be shimmering with something.

"Sorry." Kerry said, with her eyes focused downwards. She almost seemed to be speaking towards Stone more than Autumn, despite the fact that Autumn was the one that almost tipped over.

"It's okay." Autumn whispered. She looked up at Stone again through her lashes, "Thank you for catching me."

"No problem." He grinned, his face seeming to light up at her gratitude.
