5 months later

"Good job today, Tori! Have a nice weekend!" My coworker Keisha said to me as I walked down the hallways of where the nurses were at

"You too, girl!" I smiled as I waved

"Have a good one, Tori!" Another coworker of mine, Brianna said to me with a smile

"You too!" I waved as I finally made my way to the office next to the exit of the pediatrician office. I knocked on the open door to see the doctor with his chair facing the computer the opposite way, "Ready to go, Mr. Doctor? Or boss." I smiled

"Yeah, I'm ready." The doctor turned around, which exposed Terrence, "I'm ready to go celebrate my son's birthday."

"Good." I smiled as he walked up to me and kissed me as we exited the building and walked in the parking lot

"You lookin good today." Terrence smiled down as me as he wrapped his one arm around my waist

"You already said that!" I laughed as we walked

"I just had to let you know more than once, my assistant." He stared at me

"Oh, hush!" I laughed as we walked up to our car

*
"Tori!" Momma greeted us in the home as we entered.

"Wow, Momma. You're really cooking up a storm!" I smiled as I looked on the kitchen stove with family in the backyard while enjoying the bbq for the party

"Hope we're not so late." Terrence said with a smile as he hugged Momma

"Nah!" She responded with a smile, "They just arrived!" She laughed, "We do have a big family."

"That's crazy!" I said with shock

"You know your family loves you, Tori." She smiled

"Where's Michael?-"

"Momma!" He said as he still struggled a little to walk

"Baby!" I crouched down and picked him up. Terrence kissed his cheek as he just smiled, "I can't believe you're already three years old!"

"He's getting old." Momma sighed, "And so am I."

"Momma, stop being so over dramatic. You're only 40." I laughed

"When you say that out loud.. it makes me cringe more." She said with a disgust expression on her face

"Well, I'm hungry, so imma go greet the family." Terrence kissed me and walked out to the backyard

"He's a charmer, isn't he?" Momma smiled

"It's been that way since college." I laughed and smiled, "He definitely is the love of my life."

"I like him too." Momma smiled

There was a knock on the door as I rushed over to answer it. It was Janet and Frank; Terrence's parents.

"Janet!" I smiled brightly as she screamed in excitement and hugged me

"Tori!" She smiled and hugged me tightly, "This is a dream come true! It feels so good to have a daughter in law!"

"We're not married yet." I laughed

"It'll happen." Janet laughed

"Hey girl." Frank smiled as I hugged him

"Hey, Frank! How are you?" I smiled

"Just excited for my first grandsons birthday." He smiled

"Of course!" I smiled as I signaled inside the house, "Please! Come in! Food is in the backyard with the rest of the family

"Don't mind if we do." Frank laughed with excitement, "Y'all got pork steaks?"

"You already know." I laughed

"Yeah buddy!" Frank rushed into the house and straight out the back

"I'm excited to see you!" Janet walked in and followed Frank outside

I walked back into the kitchen with Momma as we both then walked outside with Michael. So many family members, from both Terrence and I, were present all in one place. I then felt happiness in my heart as I smiled to see everyone getting along and enjoying barbecue and loud dancing music. This was the way I wanted my life to be.
