"Cause you don't deserve to die." The man whispered.

"You don't know that."

"I do actually."

"And how is that?" I asked while sniffling.

"Because no one deserves to have their life taken from them."

We both stayed there, silent for a moment. The man whose name I have yet to figure out continued to stare deep in my eyes with sadness and confusion.

Foot steps began to grow louder and louder in the background until I heard them turn onto our street.

"Gerard? What are you doing? Who's she?" A blonde haired boy questioned as he walked closer to us.

"I don't know. Who are you?" The man who I assumed was Gerard asked me, still with the same expression.

"Does it matter?" I replied while looking down to the ground only to have my chin tilted up to meet Gerard's gaze again.

"Yes. Of course it does." Gerard said while a slight smile grew at the corners of his lips.

"Y/n." I replied sheepishly.

"Y/n." Gerard repeated to himself silently.

"Well then, what are you and y/n doing?" The boy behind Gerard asked. Gerard looked down at me as if asking if he could tell him. I shrugged my shoulders, not caring anymore.

"Mikey, She uh... she tried running in front of a moving car." Gerard answered Mikey. Mikey's straight face remained the same, but a tinge of sadness seemed to be seen in his eyes.

"Oh. I-I'm sorry." Mikey apologized.

"Nothing to apologize for." I muttered. Gerard shook his head at my remark and switched up the topic.

"So Y/n, where do you live. I'd be happy to give you a ride home." I sarcastically laughed at his remark.

"Home." I snickered, "That place is no home to me. That place is the reason I'm here."

"Do you have anywhere else you can go besides where you live?" Mikey asked, joining Gerard by his side. Gerard still has one hand wrapped around my wrist and the other still under my chin. I shook my head 'no' recalling the fact that I have no friends, or family that actually care about my existence. Gerard looked over at Mikey and they exchanged head nods.

"D-do you want to stay with us tonight?" Gerard asked, stuttering at the beginning. 'Us'?

"Do you guys like, live together or something?" I questioned, hopefully buying myself some time to plan my escape.

"We're brothers." Mikey responded. I nodded my head in acknowledgment.

"That'd be lovely but I uh, gotta Ryan Ross." I replied while pulling myself from Gerard's grip. I ran off and around the corner hoping to lose the boys. I heard Mikey yell something to Gerard, soon followed by running feet smacking feet against the cement of the sidewalk.

I look back to see Gerard running after me but Mikey was no where to be seen. Turning my attention back in front of me, I noticed I was approaching another corner. Once it was a few feet away, I prepared to turn, only to be greeted by Mikey. Mikey grabbed me and wrapped his arms around my body to keep me from running any further.

"Let me go!" I screamed into his chest. He only tightened his grasp on me. "Mikey!"

"I'm not doing that y/n." Mikey replied calmly. I tried pushing against his chest but he was too strong. I yelled at him a few more times but he only held onto me tighter. Finally giving up, I let myself give up into his grasp. The tears streamed harder than they have all day. I cried into Mikey's chest while he was rocking me back and forth in attempts to calm me down. He whispered soothing things in my ear to try to calm me down. Soon after I heard fast paced foot steps come to a stop behind me. I spun around to see that the foot steps belonged to Gerard. He placed a hand on my shoulder and another went up to wipe more tears.
