mwah mwah

The moment Jason entered the music store to start his first shift, he was greeted by the soft melody of a girl singing. Her voice was smooth and sweet. Jason followed the sound of the voice and found her sitting in the corner in the guitar section.

The music store was big and not only sold records but also sold instruments ranging from guitars to violins, to keyboards and drums he was amazed by how big the music store was since he only paid attention to the part of the store where the records are and didn’t notice the other room filled with instruments.

There were also a few people gathering around her watching her sing and strum the guitar. Her eyes were closed as she felt the rhythm of the music and a soft smile tugged at her lips. Her voice resonates around the room sounding so serene that everyone in the room stopped what they were doing just to watch her sing and play the guitar.

Jason couldn’t help but gape at the girl in front of him. He never knew she could sing like that, let alone play the guitar that good.  There was just so many things he didn’t know about her and since the day she’d entered his life Jason couldn’t help but start noticing her.

Jason also noticed someone else besides her playing the guitar. They were both singing a duet. The girl was singing the high notes while the guy reached the lower ones, their voices combined together to create a perfect harmony of highs and lows.

The two looked like they had been doing it for quite a while and Jason couldn’t help the pang of jealousy he felt when he made out the guy’s figure.

Jason couldn’t make out the guy’s face since his face was blocked by the girl right next to him so Jason walked closer, curious to know who the man was.

“Oh Jason, you’re finally here” Jason turned to the voice and found Linda smiling up at him.

She handed him a piece of paper which contained personal information about the employees such as their contact information and work experiences.

“I need you to fill these up before you start working, I’m not fond with paperwork but the last time I didn’t something bad happened” Linda’s eyes darkened as she thought back to the last time something bad had happened to her previous employee. Jason frowned and was about to ask what happened to the previous employee.

“Oh but don’t worry about it, it was all taken care of just fill this up and you can start by sorting those new records over there” Linda pointed to the boxes he moved yesterday which contained the newly delivered records and patted Jason’s arm as she walked away.

Jason looked back to where Erika was singing but found that she was already gone.

Did Linda and I take that long to talk?
