Gym instructor let me stay but said I needed to change out.

I was in the locker room with some clothes I borrowed from Hailey.

Rowan and Hailey are out on the gym.

I told Rowan to go ahead and catch her up.

I slipped off my baggy clothes and caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror.

The scar was still there.

I knew it was.

Maybe that's why I don't wear revealing clothes anymore.

I ran my fingers across the scar.

Sometimes I forget it's there.

I can never forget how it got there though.

I looked away from myself and slipped on Hailey's shorts and then her shirt.

It was a blue shirt.

It was tight.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

I feel like if my clothes are too tight then everyone can see it.

What's the worse that can happen if I don't change out?

I sighed.

I slipped my shoes back on and walked out.

I stopped outside the door and saw some guys getting water.

"Hey, Maddie, right?" One asked seeing me.

I nodded.

"I'm Jessy. We had a few classes together last year." He stated.

"And?" I asked.

"That's Maddie? Maddie Stile?" His friend asked.

"Yeah. That's totally her." Jessy confirmed for me.

"No way. Nicki was telling me how huge rehab made her. This girls fine." His friend shook his head.

"Nicki is a dumb bitch who doesn't know what she's talking about." I snapped.

They looked at me shocked.

"Just go away." I sighed.

They rushed off.

Great.

People think I'm fat under all those clothes.

Fucking Nicki.

I walked over to Hailey and Rowan.

They were talking.

I walked over and sat down with them.

"She knows?" I asked.

They both nodded.

"Hey, you look-" I cut Hailey off.

"Skinny? Not fat? Like Nikki is telling people?" I asked her being slightly passive aggressive.

Hailey's eyes widened.

"I didn't know she was saying anything about you." She defended herself.

I nodded.

"I don't even care. It's so stupid." I mumbled.

"Why do you wear such baggy clothes?" Hailey asked.

I felt my scar burning, I knew it was in my head but I still nearly touched it.

"Because I'm comfy in them. Simple as that." I lied.

"You should totally some to school dressed like a babe. Nikki would look so stupid." Rowan suggested.
