Chapter 1 - The year 1 billion(1)

A/N: This book was already uploaded on Wattpad and I ended up deleting it but I made a lot of changes to it since then. (This is for those of you who may have read it already)

I sat on one of the sofas with my two parents situated on either side of me. Each of us focussed our attention on the hologram of one of the scientists Dr James Cooper as he made his annual announcements for the beginning of the celebrations. "Today we celebrate the day of our freedom, free from the destruction of planet Earth and not having to endure the terror of that thanks to our founders, the ones who gave us the privilege to be able to have the experience of living here. We thank them, let the celebrations begin." 

He slowly dissipated leaving the blank wall to have the glory of our attention for a short moment

A small throbbing pain resonated in my brain indicating that we were being summoned to go to the capital of Nyphi to participate in the celebrations. This summons occurred via the chips that were placed in our brain which alerted us of any important information. 

I began to feel a little anxious about the thought of having to be surrounded by so many people all at once during the days of the celebration. I sighed and stood up getting ready to head upstairs.

"You packed everything honey?" my mother questioned, her hand supported her chin as she leaned against it comfortably as she was still seated on the sofa. As a result of my mother's question, my father focussed his attention on me waiting for a response.

"Yeah, I'm going to bring it all down now since the pods will be coming soon." I began up the stairs to quickly gather my suitcases. I lifted the two suitcases I had packed one after the other and placed them on the floor in order to be able to carry them down the stairs.

From the side of my eye, through the window, I saw that the driverless pods were now arriving at everyone's houses to transport them to the hyperloop station.

I dragged both my suitcases quickly closing the door behind me and headed back downstairs trying as hard as I can to not be late.

When I arrived at the bottom floor my parents were now gathering their suitcases out of their rooms and heading down the stairs.

I opened the front door and exited the house and was greeted by three pods in our driveway. I turned in the direction of my parents. "I'll see you all there, bye love you." I kissed them both and we all went our separate ways into our individual pods.

When I arrived at the sleek rectangular pod I placed my wrist through the area allocated to scan my barcode to make the purchase for me to be transported since our currency of money is stored in our chips in our brain the barcode simply is there to allow the transactions to occur. When the transaction finished the doors of the pod slid open. I picked up my luggage and placed it in the luggage section and proceeded to take a seat. As I sat in the white interior of the pod the doors slid shut and with the destination already installed in it by the government it took off.

We were ruled by scientists, those who continue to create a better living for us in honour of those who made the planet itself. Today we celebrated the day that we set foot on this planet and it is in honour of those who had to be left behind and those who created it.

The Earth was destroyed two decades ago due to the result of things that humans did to it. It started to react to our action and luckily it had a few scientists that realized we would not be able to survive on the planet much longer so they created one.

But this took place years after both galaxies the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy collided, which gave them a better chance to go through with their plan. During the collision, there was a supernova explosion and the scientist created a synthetic gravity that caused the debris to clump up together to form the planet we know today as Nyphi.
