Chapter 8: learning the Truth/ breakfest.
"Grandpa Leaf?!"

"G-Grandma...?!"

They saw the bones of clothes of their lives ones that Silver Wolf ate them and killed them.
Poppy knelt down and holds the skull of her grandpa Leaf.
"No...No, no it can't be!" Poppy began to sob uncomfortably, Branch knelt down and comfort her gently.
"Shhh...It's okay Poppy."

"H-How?!! How can I be calm?! What happened to them?!"

"They were captured by the silver Wolf." Cloud guy said.
"Tell us what happened?!!"

"Legends ago, a silver fox was cruel blood thirsty, in cold blood killed every troll in the tribe, your grandfather Leaf is not one of them...you see he was very caring to the animals, he gave to protect them from danger. When your mother was born she has to do the same path as your mom.
But she disappears since the animal took her..." Cloud guy explained to them.

Poppy remembers the story that her dad told her when she was a baby.
"M-My dad told me that story..."
she then stand up.
"I got to protect Nick."

"What?..." Branch asked in confusion.

"I have to keep Nick away from dangers."

"Are you insane?! Your exam is tomorrow about killing an animal and we discovered the animals habitat and you're gonna protect  that red fox as your pet dog?!! You know your dad would kill you, and for me?!! People can't trust me anymore!" Branch exclaimed.

"Look! I know it's gonna he bad he won't ever know..."

"I hate to say this but welcome to hell princess how can this happen?!" Branch swore.

Poppy thinks about it.
"When there's a will there's a way. Branch trust me..." Poppy said with a smile, held her hand out to Branch who sighed in defeat. "Okay, Fine," He said
as she pulls him to ride home.
She stops trying to help Branch,
To know how to train an animal.
Poppy shows him a bunny with grey fur and purple eyes.
Branch was a little amazed, seeing the bunny.
"Wow...it's beautiful..." Branch said smiling.
Nick then went up to them.
"Hey, Carrots." Nick greeted.
Judy looked at them.
"Hey Nick!" The bunny said smiling.
She notice a pink troll and blue troll.
"Who are they?..." Judy asked fearfully.
"Judy, This is Poppy and Branch, Poppy, Branch. This is Judy. But I call her Carrots." Nick introduce her.

Branch went up to her trying to pet her, Judy backed up a bit.
Branch swallowed a bit looked at Poppy back.

"It's okay, Branch." Poppy said gently.
Branch looked at Judy who looked at him. He went up to her as he gently touched her nose. Judy flinched a bit, but felt at his touched.
"See Branch," Poppy said smiling.
As they ride home.
Branch punches her on the arm.
"Ow!" Poppy winced. "Why did you do that?!"

"That's for kidnapping me thanks." Branch smiled going home.
Poppy smiled and blushed lightly, Nick smirked.
"What?..."

"You know you love him,"

"What no! I don't!"
"Stop lying pinkies I know you love him."
Poppy rolled her eyes, smiling and blushing.
As she going home too.
"Bye Nick!" Poppy waved as she goes to her pod.

(Next morning).

Poppy woke up the next morning that she's ready for her exam of killing a animal.
That she came downstairs to see her dad making breakfast.
He made blueberry pancakes.
He then turn to see his daughter fully awake.

"Ah, good morning my princess."

"Morning dad...What's with the breakfast?..."

"Well, I have to make it for you because you need energy of killing an animal that your grandma, made it for me when I was your age." He chuckled.

As Poppy smiled eating her pancakes but frowned.

"Um, Thanks dad."

"To this day, My daughter would be queen of the tribe of killing animals."

"I know Dad, you were very overprotective to me."

"I know! A toast for my little girl is becoming a women." Peppy lifted his mug
For a toast as Poppy picked up her drink.

"This is gonna be the worst day of my life..." Poppy muttered quietly.
