~Chapter Twenty Four~

Start from the beginning

Getting up from my seat I look at the clear baby bottle, it looked more than one packet of M&Ms but not two full ones. Thinking I finally guess 228, also putting my name down before giving it back to Bella, us being told to keep the pens for the next games.

"And the winner is Iris! With the closest answer of 230, the number being 232." Iris gets given the first voucher, her happy to win this game.

"For the second game, we are playing, 'guess the baby food'! You all will try each baby food and you have to write down which flavour you think it is." Bella tells us, a trade of baby food and plastic spoons being brought onto the coffee table, the baby bottle of M&Ms being taken away.

Each of the six jars of baby food had a piece of paper on with a different number from one two six, them all looking not very pleasant to eat. Bella passes us six different spoons, as well as a piece of paper to guess the flavours.

"This is the first one." The jar of baby food with the number one on gets passed around, everyone taking a little to taste, well everyone who wanted to. This one was a white colour, it tasting of cauliflower cheese, writing that as my answer.

The second one being a light orange colour, this one tasting of chicken. Following that was a brown one it tasting of bolognese, after that was a cream coloured one, the taste unknown in my mouth; however it had a slight taste of banana. The fifth one was green, it looking worse out of the six, it tasting of vegetables. Finally the last one was a dark orange, it tasting if slightly of cottage pie.

"Make sure your name is on, and pass it to me to shuffle and then pass out again to mark." Everyone does as told, me ending up getting Harriet's. "One was, cauliflower cheese, two was carrot and chicken, three was bolognese, Four was veggie turkey risotto, then lastly, six was cottage pie." I count up each one, seeing that Harriet had gotten 4 out of the 6.

"Anyone who got six out of six?" Bella asks, my mom speaking up.

"Jade did." Bella nods, asking if anyone else got all of them correct before Jade got the second $30 voucher for babiesRus.

"That's all the games done, now for just some activities to do, you take a piece of card and place it into the jar that you think the twins will be." She points to the three tubes on the table next to the food, one being pink, one blue, and one white one if you thought it was a boy and girl.

Even gets up, the tubes soon being filed up by everyone's guesses, the most having in the boys.

"Now for everyone to give Dylan and Hailey some baby names, them not having picked yet." This time there was two jars, one pink and one blue, with pieces of card next to it and some pens; everyone begins writing boys and girls names, putting them in the correct jar.

"For the last thing to do is for Hailey to go into the other room while we do this" she pauses while I struggle to make my way into the dining room, taking a seat to give my feet a rest. "You need to write on a diaper a message for Hailey and for Dylan for when they are changing the twins, as they will be a lot of them, just tell them a joke or anything else you want to say." I hear Bella say, a smile on my lips.

"Thank you for coming!" I say to the final person, her being an old family friend, a woman I hadn't seen in so long. Closing the door behind the lady I go and take a seat, the day being exhausting even though I had hardly done anything.

"Would you like a drink?" My mom asks me, her still wanting to stay a little longer.

"I would love a cup of tea please. And I'd love a slice of that cake" I say, pulling my feet up, them all swollen from being on my feet too long.

"There you go sweetie." She says, giving me the mug full with hot tea and a plate with quite a large slice of the cake that they had gotten me.

"Thanks mom." She nods smiling.
