Chapter Twenty Two
Hailey's POV

"Oh Hailey! I'm so happy for you!" Katie tells me when I say about them now moving and kicking frequently. It had been a full week since they started to kick and ever since, they haven't stopped. Especially when I want to sleep, they just want me to be awake at all times of the day, making me even more tired than before.

"I couldn't believe that my mom was just asking like an hour earlier
about it, and then it happens!" I laugh, and Katie does as well.

"Well they both seem healthy and still growing so that a good sign. You may even come two weeks before your due date. As most women with twins do" I smile, but also a little shocked as even though I knew deep down that they couldn't stay in there for the full forty weeks, as it be too cramped at full size so they had to come earlier than I'm due.

"I will see you in two weeks from now on, and then we need to make sure your birth plan is up to date with what you want to do and where you want to give birth, and so on. And lastly before I leave, you may want to look at the exercises that I gave you a while ago as they will help you with the remaining weeks." She says before saying goodbye and leaving.

"Is everything alright with them?" Is the first thing Dylan says as he walks in from work.

"Yep, Katie thinks I might give birth two weeks before my due date as I'm having twins." I say back, showing the photo on my phone of the ultrasound.

"Might do, but we don't have to worry as we've already finished their nursery's" nodding, I tell him that we were having jacket potato's for dinner, as I had been craving them all day.

Dylan doesn't complain and when I finally finish cooking our food, I only do my own as I wouldn't know what filling he would want with his.

The two of us ate in silence, it being a comfortable silence. I look up at him, and smile, seeing that he was looking at me already. But as soon as I look at him he looks away, making the silence a little awkward.

As soon as I finish up eating, I stand up and make my way to the sink, seeing that the pots are beginning to pile up at the side of the sink. Sighing, I begin to fill up the bowl with hot soapy water, and as I wait I begin emptying any plates so then they would be ready to wash. "Hailey. Go sit down, I'll do them." Dylan says, making me jump a little since he was still in the dining room when I left to come here.

"It's fine, I've been home all day, while you've been working so you go put your feet up." I smile up at him, which he just shakes his head at me.

Looking down at the sink, I turn the water off and start washing the many pots that the two of have used. Dylan doesn't move to go into. The living room, instead he grabs a towel and dries them as I wash them.

"You tired?" Dylan asks as we sit in bed.

"Yeah but these two are wide awake and won't stop moving about so I won't be sleeping anytime soon." I inform him, which he looks at me sadly but also with something else however, I couldn't figure out what it was.

"Just try your best." He smiles at me, and I nod, it's the only thing I could do.

Sleep didn't take long to come, and I only woke up a few times though the night, the twins pushing on my bladder a little. But when morning came, I woke up to Dylan's voice waking me up.

Sitting up slowly, I notice that he had breakfast in his hand. "There you go" he says, passing me the large plate of chocolate chip pancakes.
