Chapter Twenty Four
Hailey's POV
Mom and I were at her house, us just talking about anything and everything possible. It being so long since the two of us had actually sat down and just talked for hours on end.
"Dylan has cooked me brunch so I best go home." She nods, getting up and walking towards the door.
Dylan had dropped me off at my mom's yesterday so then I wouldn't be alone while he worked again today but that now meant my mother had to drop me home. Dylan and I have been back from the villa for about three days, and since I missed my mom as much as I have I just needed to see her.
"Call us if you need anything sweetheart, I'll see you soon." She smiles as she helps me to the door.
"I will mom, I love you."
"I love you too." Opening the front door, I get surprised by all the people in front of me.
"Surprise!" They all shout. Looking around I see that it was a baby shower. I cover my mouth so shocked at the view in front of me. There being family I hadn't seen in so long but also my high school girls, them having swollen stomachs like myself.
The more I looked around I noticed that even though it was a surprise for me, all my friends had all their family and other friends as well as suggesting that it was a joint baby shower for all of us.
Dylan walks up to me, a large smile on his lips. "Do you like your surprise?" I nod smiling, giving him a hug. "Well it was Jade's idea to have a joint one to keep costs down since we are all having babies soon." I nod happy that everyone I loved was here. We had been given baby bottles them being filled up with either a pink or blue drink, the drinks being pink lemonade and blue punch.
We had been giving a lot of things, most of which was dippers and wet wipes but at the end of the day we needed them. And the rest being baby grows that were unisex.
My mom had bought us another one of lamb rock chairs, since we were having twins we needed two but I couldn't believe she got us a second one as well as.
Dylan's parents had gotten us a baby bag to our things into for when we are out and about with the twins, the bag itself already filled up with diapers, wet wipes, a changing mat, a set of clothes for each baby, bottles, small boxes to transport food as they grew up and two bibs.
My best friends had gotten us a small present each, them all being so adorable. Jade got us two grey teddy bears that were attached to this tiny blanket, it looking so cute. Bella had gotten us a white and grey blanket, both so soft; I could even sleep with them. Iris had gotten us a stuffed giraffe, it being her favourite animal. Harriet got us a penguin, it also being her favourite animal. Then lastly, Megan had gotten us two mobiles, it turning while a lullaby plays, it being white and grey, matching the nurseries perfectly.
Ash and Jess had also gotten us a present, them getting us quite a few things, such as: breastfeeding equipment, a diaper bin for of course used diapers, diaper cream, two sets of baby monitors, and two thermometers to make sure that it wasn't too cold or hot in the babies' rooms.
Everything that everyone had given us had made us have most things, it helping us out a lot; all I had to do was give presents to all my friends as well, Dylan not thinking of doing that.
"Game time!" Bella says, making everyone take a seat in the living room. "For the first game we are playing 'guess how many M &Ms are in the bottle' the one who gets the closest wins a $30 gift voucher to babiesRus." She carries on, pointing to the baby bottle on the coffee table. "Write down your guess with your name and pass it to me." Everyone gets pass a piece of paper to write their guess in, including myself.
