Best Friends

I ran towards the food court, but got tired halfway.

I rest my hands on my knees to catch my breath.

"Why did you stop?" Zach said catching his breath standing beside me.

"Be- cause... I'm tired." I said upset.

"You're cute when you're angry." Zach said laughing.

"I'm not angry!" I said standing up and walking towards the icecream stand.

Reese and Lily was already there.

"Christine!" Zach said scaring me.

"What!?" I said turning towards him. "I want my icecream!" I said hitting his chest playfully and walking towards the stand.

Zach came behind me and tickled my side.

"Stop!" I said glarring at him.

He laughed at me and stopped.

"What do you guys want?" I said while looking at the menu.

"Could I get minty chocolate?" Zach said looking at me.

"The girls go first." I said smiling.

Zach was pouting and looked at the floor.

What a baby.

"I want cookies and creme!" Reese said.

"Me too!" Lily said jumping.

"Could I get umm... cookie dough, two cookies and creme, and a minty chocolate icecream?" I said looking at the woman.

"Ok, that'll be $11.46." The woman said smiling.

I handed her my money and paid for everything.

Everyone got their icecream and started eating.

"Do you guys want to sit or walk around."

"Let's walk around!" Reese said jumping with icecream on her nose.

"Zach get that off of Reese's face." I said pointing towards to ice cream on her nose.

"You have something on your face!" Zach said putting icecream on my cheek and running off.

"Ugh! Zachary!" I said shooked.

I grabbed a napkin and cleaned off Reese's nose and cleaned off my cheek.

"Thank you!" Reese said smiling.

"You're very welcome." I said fake smiling, I was mad at Zach and I barely know the kid.

We continued walking until I got a text from mom saying we were going to the beach.

"Come on Reese, I have to take you back to your mom." I said rubbing her back and walking towards the exit seeing Myta.

"Thanks for bringing Reese back, where's Zach?" Myta said looking around.

"I don't know, he ran off somewhere. What me to look for him?"

"Could you please?" She said smiling unsurely.

"Sure." I said nodding my head and walking off.

I decided to walk back towards the food court since that's where I last saw him.

I was looking at the ChickFilA line for some reason, and saw Zach in line.

I walked up to him and scared him, causing him to jump.

"What the- Christine!?" Zach said looking upset.

"Your upset? I'm the one upset! Myta is waiting for you to go." I said walking off.
