She's Mine

Chapter 18

Isabelle's P.O.V

Alec called an emergency meeting in his office. It was probably about Magnus finding out where Clary and Jace are being held. I walked into the room and everyone (Alec, Magnus, and Simon) was already there. Alec was standing behind his desk looking very grave. "Izzy, please lock the door.  We don't want to risk anyone overhearing us, just in case they are working for Valentine."

I did what he asked and said, "For you to be like this, Clary and Jace must be held somewhere hard to get to."

He nodded. "Magnus informed me that they are being held on the Sea of Nowhere."

Simon and I let out a gasp. Everyone knew what the Sea of Nowhere was. Both Shadowhunter and Downworlder families were told about it when they were young. The place was swarming with a bunch of greater demons. We were all told that no one has ever lived to tell the tale when they went there.

"I know it may seem impossible," Magnus started to say, "but I believe with lots of planning we can rescue Clary and Jace. Luckily, before you both got here, Alexander and I thought of some ideas already."

"Well, what are they?" Simon exclaimed impatiently. "We need to think of our plan fast because we don't know if Valentine is doing anything to hurt them. Clary is his daughter, but Jace isn't, so he is more likely to hurt him first."

"We were thinking to round up most of the Shadowhunters from the Institute and launch a surprise attack on Valentine's ship. It would be difficult with all the greater demons around, but we just have to distract them long enough for us to save Jace and Clary."

"What if some of the Shadowhunters here are working for Valentine and try to warn him about the attack?" I asked.

"It's a risk we have to take, unfortunately. We just have to hope that everyone is loyal to the Clave," Alec said. "Besides, we can't just attack Valentine with the four of us! I'll call a meeting of all the Shadowhunters in the Institute right now and alert them of our mission."

Jace's P.O.V

Fuck! My nose hurts so much right now! When I get out of here I'm literally going to kill Sebastian. He won't ever take Clary from me!

Suddenly, Valentine came into the room. "Well, well, well. It seems that your little Shadowhunter friends are planning to launch an attack here tomorrow."

"How do you know?" Clary questioned.

"If you hadn't figured it out now Clarissa, I have spies in the Institute. One of them told me about this. It's a pity we'll be ready and kill them before they even see you face."

Tears streamed down Clary's face. "You said you wouldn't kill them! You said you weren't a monster! I guess this this proves you are, no matter what you say."

Valentine laughed. "You believed me? You must know your dear old dad by now. Of course I lied. Soon you, me, and your mom will all be a family  again. You will forget all about your friends once they are dead."

"I know for a fact that they will defeat you and you will be locked up by the Clave forever!"
