Simon's P.O.V

I'm so worried about Clary. I've never been this scared in my whole life! We have been through almost everything together. She especially helped me feel better when my dad died.

When I was a kid, I had a massive crush on her, but now I have a crush on Isabelle. She seems really confident and fierce. I'm going to ask her out on a date now.

The training room was the first place I checked for her. I knew she would be in there fighting just in case there was a war with Valentine and his demons. She was angrily hitting a punching bag when I got there. "Hi Izzy," I said awkwardly.

She stopped punching. "Oh, I didn't see you there. Hi Simon! How are you today?"

"I'm good," I responded. I started shuffling my feet around. I always do this when I am nervous. "I-I-I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me. You don't have to say yes, you can always say no. I don't want to force you. I mean, why would someone like you date someone like me? Ok, I'm just rambling now. You can answer the question with no interruptions now."

"I would love to! I was wondering when you were going to ask me. We should go on it when Clary and Jace are safe. I'm sick with worry. I hope Valentine didn't hurt them." She then started sobbing. "I don't know what I would do without them. My best friend and brother."

"I'm worried too. Clary has been my best friend since we were born. I'm sure Magnus will find their location soon so we can rescue them. After all, he is the High Warlock of Brooklyn and one of the most powerful warlocks in the world."

Alec's P.O.V

"Alexander, I found where Valentine is keeping Clary and Jace," Magnus exclaimed to me.

I couldn't keep in my excitement, "Don't leave me in suspense! Where are they?"

"They are on the Sea of Nowhere," Magnus said gravely, unlike his cheerful attitude earlier.

My face fell. "They are on the Sea of Nowhere?! That place is swarming with greater demons! How are we supposed to rescue them if we can't even defeat all the demons?"

"Well, that's the problem. Valentine, for some reason, has them all under his control. I don't know how this happened. The only way he could control them is if he had the Mortal Cup, but he clearly doesn't have it."

"I'll call everyone to my office immediately. We have to think of a rescue plan."

Clary's P.O.V

Valentine came to give us our daily breakfast. I saw someone behind him, but I couldn't tell who it was because their face was covered by the shadows. "Clarissa," Valentine started, "about your deal, I lied. I'm going to keep Sebastian here with me. However,  I will keep your end of the bargain and not kill your friends. I'm not a monster."

I was enraged. "Why? He surely can't be that important. Just get rid of him!"

"I will tell you why I need him. We are on the Sea of Nowhere. Sebastian can control all the demons around here." Sebastian walked out from the shadows behind Valentine and smirked at me.

"Wait... why would he help you? Did you offer you something? If he did, I can try to give you a better offer." I countered.

Sebastian smiled evilly. "He offered me you. There is no way you can come up with a better offer. You are mine and mine only."

Jace spoke up, "If you lay a finger on her, you're going to be dead! She's mine!"

"Are you willing to fight for her? Cause I am! I'll beat you easily, for I have demon blood in me." Sebastian answered.

"Let's go!" Jace charged at Sebastian, but he dodged it easily. I knew it wasn't a fair fight, and it was quite obvious who would win (sorry Jace!). Jace tried to land a punch on Sebastian's face, but he got out of the way just in time, and kicked him in the leg so he fell.

"Sebastian, please don't hurt him! Just leave him alone! You don't have to fight for me. I'll always hate you," I shouted at him.

"Well Clary, I'm determined to change your opinion of me. Unfortunately, I can't do that until pretty boy here is out of the way. I guess I'll just have to mess up his face," Sebastian spat at me.

He punched Jace in the face and I heard a sickening crack. I ran to him and said, "Jace? Are you ok?" Valentine and Sebastian left the room. I was glad. They couldn't hurt Jace anymore.

"I think he broke my nose. I wish I had my stele with me. It hurts so much!" Jace exclaimed. "I'm so glad you're safe! I won't let Sebastian get you."

"Thanks, Jace. You're the best boyfriend ever! Now how are we going to get out of here?"
