do you not remember
that spark you felt
when your hand brushed against mine
do you not remember
staying up late night
conversing and not knowing when the time passed
do you not remember
that smile or yours
that formed whenever i showed you mine
do you not remember
how our wandering, nomadic hands
found their homes in each other
do you not remember
the bliss you felt
when you were mine
but you do
you remember everything
and yet you still walked away

you promised you wouldn't leave. and here i was, naive enough to believe you. now there are footprints on the snow that only show signs of leaving and never of coming back.
