if i fed you

spoonfuls of sugar

would it make

the bitterness in your heart

leave

your words hurt. they pierce my heart over and over till it's full of holes. people say that the pen is mightier than the sword. but your words will make the pen crumble to dust too. do you not know the power of your voice? do you not know that everything you say hurts? you used to pick and choose your words and make sentences that were equivalent to a necklace of pearls. but now the necklaces you weave with your words have dark, black coal instead. please. i crave the sugar in your voice. i'm addicted to it. i'm starving for your love and you are looking the other way. please. turn around. give me your love and quench my thirst.
