You were an orphan dying of tuberculosis. After nearly eighteen years of trying to find a family, the disease took you by surprise. It had killed your roommate in the orphanage not two weeks ago, and now it was going to kill you too. Your doctor's wife visited you daily, brushing away your warnings, claiming she was immune to the disease. She'd visited several dying patients, but she couldn't just seem to let you go.
