Route 101

Lauren felt the breeze hit her face. She could hear her Pokemon around her. Lauren and Camila had been walking for a few hours. They had heard Pokemon around them as they walked through the grass.

"Ember?" Camila questioned as she looked at her Pokedex. She looked at her Torchic. "Do you know ember?"

"Tor?" the small chicken responded, tilting his head. It tripped on a rock, before shaking its head.

"No? That's fine. You'll learn it when you're ready," Camila told it, as she continued to search through her Pokedex. She tripped on a rock.

Lauren let out a laugh, while Camila blushed. The small chicken rubbed his head on Camila's leg. Lauren turned to her Mudkip who was sniffing the ground. His fins started to twitch.

"What's going on?" Lauren asked her Pokemon, who looked at her.

"Hey wait!" they heard, causing both girls to turn. They looked into the trees to find a small puppy dog run towards them. The gray dog stopped and stared at Lauren and Camila. "Wait!" A girl ran through the trees, before stopping in front of the two girls. Her blond hair was a mess as she panted.

"Is he yours?" Camila asked, crouching down. She took out her Pokedex and aimed it at the Pokemon.

"Poochyena, the bite Pokemon. At first sight, Poochyena takes a bite at anything that moves. This Pokemon chases after prey until the victim becomes exhausted. However, it may turn tail if the prey strikes back."

"No, his tail was caught and I just wanted to make sure he was okay," the blond girl responded, smiling.

Lauren nodded as she looked at the Poochyena who was licking his paw, his tail wagging slowly. It looked okay.

"I think he's fine," she told the girl.

The blond girl nodded as she crouched down. She ran her hand through the Poochyena's fur, before gently touching his tail. She reached into her pocket and grabbed a small yellowish bottle. She sprayed it on the Pokemon's tail, getting a small whimper. She moved back and watched as Poochyena sniffed his tail and started to wag it faster.

The girl stood up and looked at Lauren and Camila.

"Hi, I'm Ally, Breeder-in-training," the girl introduced herself.

"Lauren Jauregui, Pokemon Master-in-training," Lauren greeted, a grin on her face, "and this is Mudkip, my partner."

"Kip," the small Pokemon called out.

"Camila Cabello, top Coordinator-in-training," Camila inserted, waving her hand, "and Torchic."

"Chic," the small chicken saluted.

Ally smiled at the two, before looking down at the two Pokemon.

"Are you guys headed to Petalburg City?" Ally asked, looking at the two girls.

"Yeah, Lo wants to challenge the Gym Leader," Camila answered, shrugging her shoulders.

"D-do you mind if I tag along?" Ally asked, giving the girls a shy smile.
