They were supposed to be just enemies—foes in academic rank, opponents in sports, and rivals when it comes to girls. But suddenly, something shifted after a life-changing tragedy crossed their paths.

The building where they were staying wasn't enough to withstand the damage caused by the emerging waters, and that's when all the students inside decided to leave the place together. Somehow, as time passed amidst the storm and the ravishing force of nature, everyone started scattering. However, both enemies were suddenly drawn towards each other like magnets, along with the empty glasses.

Tommy tried his best to avoid the unexpected companion reaching over him, yet there was no reason for him to decline the man's offer as they strode away farther from the levitating waves. Leonardo seemed upset about the fact that they weren't getting along, and it might put their lives in grave danger. "Come on, man. Stop being such a sissy," Leonardo hissed.

Although Tommy shrugged off every word he received from the guy. His varsity jacket was a mess alongside everything he was wearing, which was his best one, but that doesn't mean it's a good enough reason to be mad—because, in reality, it is.

They walked and walked after the mud of water started dripping away. Leonardo focused on how to catch the guy's attention; he threatened him, nudged him, grabbed his collars, and insulted every piece of Tommy's human identity. "Are you not done yet?" Tommy crested his right eyebrow, questioning the existence of Leonardo's attempts.

"For fuck's sake, dimwit?! That's all you are going to say??? We are in the middle of a tsunami hit. There are more there; larger and stronger or whatever it is. You have to fucking forget that we are not friends this time if you still want to live!" Leonardo babbled loudly, but Tommy knew the same too, so he remained silent. "Okay, fine, I'm out. I'll just find someone who cooperates better," Leonardo added, leaving Tommy standing out of nowhere while his jaw clenched.

Tommy let his rivalry go far away north. When Leonardo's figure faded from his vision range, he sighed. He continued finding ways to get into the evacuation center. Honestly, he needs help because the next waves aren't a joke. His pride is the only thing he has, and there's no way he's dropping it.

The tsunami earlier isn't that strong to give people fatal damage, but the next wave can... Maybe...

And that's when Tommy realized how immature he had been. Immediately, he changed course, he put his direction where Leonardo vanished, and he could feel the waters begin falling back... Like draining... And it's a sign that there's an incoming wave again. As fast as he could, he ran there even though the mud is slowing him down...
