Day Four

Day 4

------

I didn't tell Sophia what had happened. By the time she came home, I was already asleep.

There was an after party organized by some students for the prom and she and her date went. They came home by 2 as she explained.

She has been blabbing non-stop about what I missed.

"I saw Luke there, I was even surprised that you weren't there." She said. "The party was crazy. The cops even came."

"Touché." I smiled at her, knowing she was obviously lying to get the gist cheesy.

We were both on her bed.

I was lying down with my hands under my head while she was sitting down at the edge of the bed, with a pillow on her lap.

"I'm serious," She rolled her eyes with a smile. "They joined the party because it was so damn lit."

That's when we both burst into laughter.

"You're a case, Soph." I said as my laughter died down.

She shook her head still laughing. "What? You expected them to shut the party down? Their lives are way too boring. They need to add some spice to it."

I cleared my throat. "Your dad." I choked.

Her dad was a cop as well.

"He's a senior commanding officer. He has all the James Bond drama he can get." She said again.

"Oh, really?" I smirked at her.

"Yeah, on his desk." She raised her eyebrows at me repeatedly.

"Wow, so fun." I rolled my eyes at her. "So what about your date, huh?" I did the eyebrow thing for her.

"My date." She fell back on the bed with her hands astray as she smiled stupidly.

"What? He was too much for you to handle?" I joked.

"More." She said dreamily then got up and looked at me. "At least, I didn't kiss him or make a move like some people did."

I rolled my eyes, "He was the one who made the first move."

Then I suddenly remembered last night and every other thing.

I turned to face the wall.

"Any discussion concerning him must be eliminated," I stated like a robot.

"Oh, oh. I'm sorry." She apologized. "As you wish, monk Bianca." She tried to robot talk as well.

I turned to her with a quirk on my lips. "Was that your robot personification?"

She shrugged with a smile, "Robots aren't people so I can't personificate them."

"And personificate is a word in the dictionary. Cheers." I said sarcastically.

"You started with the bad grammar," She pointed out.

There was soon a knock on the door.

Sophia got up to open the door.

It was her mum.

She let her in.

"Good morning, mum." She greeted.

"Good morning, ma." I greeted too, getting off my lazy position on the bed and sitting up.

"Good morning, Sophia. Bianca." She replied to us. Then she looked at me. "Have you started packing your stuff? Your mum will be here any minute from now."

"There's not much to pack," I said.

"Either way, get ready." Then she checked the time. "It's 11 and you girls haven't even bathed."

"Well, I came home late last night so I had to sleep in." Sophia shrugged.

Her mum looked at her. "If not for your father, I would have ban you from going to parties that late."

She rolled her eyes. "It's prom, mum. You don't have to get so worked up. Besides, I don't even go to parties."

"So says the girl who came back home by 5." Her mum said and started leaving.

"2, mum." Sophia followed her.

"Breakfast is ready," Her mum yelled.

"That was just one time. I never go to parties. You guys don't let me."

I heard Sophia's whine.

"Just be a darling, dear and go brush your teeth before eating."

"But when will I be allowed to go for parties? Senior year is around the corner."

"When that time comes, I'd let you know."

Sophia groaned and in less than 10 seconds, she came storming into the room.

She sighed and fell on the bed beside me.

"At least you were allowed to go for last night's own. If I was at my house, I wouldn't go." I said to her.

"You didn't still go now so what's the difference?" She groaned.

I got up from the bed. "I wonder why you guys are so worked up on going for parties. It isn't going to add a thing to your G.P.A or college application."

She glared at me and I shrugged.

"It's fact."

"Shut up," She said clearly annoyed. "Doesn't mean I can't have some social life." She stated.

"Social life isn't all party." I smiled at her as I went to her bathroom to brush.

"Now, you sound like my mother."

She joined me after some time.

We went down to eat before my mum finally arrived.

We washed our plates then went back up.

Sophia joined me in putting my stuff together.

Her room was messed up due to prom preparation.

When we were done, my mum arrived and I started leaving. "So, Bye, Sophia." I smiled at her as I stood by her room door.

She smiled back and waved. "Bye. See you at school tomorrow."

"Definitely." I chuckled.

"So, what about your play?" She finally asked.

I sighed. "I've been thinking about it. I think I would just drop it. There will be plenty more presentations in the senior year." I smiled optimistically.

"But none that universities would gather for." She stated. "They only come on graduation days and once you miss this, you've missed your shot of gaining a scholarship. You won't be the president for so long you know. Another junior would take over."

"Not like my play is that good to earn me one anyway." I shrugged.

"But it could earn you an admission." She said.

"Sophia, let senior year come first. I might even change my plan on studying screenwriting." Then I shrugged. "Maybe script writing is not my thing." Then I left, unsure of what life had to offer.
