Studio B
After that encounter with Kaycee I went back into the smaller studio room where I was learning from one of my favorite teachers Jake Kodish
He hasn't blown up yet so the class was small but I liked it like this
One of my best friends Josh Price joined me for this class and I could tell he was liking the class as well
"Alright time for groups!" Jake said as he had his brother Slater film this class
The class was small so everyone was going to be filmed whether they make it to YouTube/instagram or not
He called Josh out for his solo and obviously he killed it
Josh used to struggle like me but he was somehow able to make it pass that hump and is getting regarded as one of the top young dancers
Which I couldn't be prouder as it gives me hope I can make it pass this hump as well
I see Josh whisper to Jake something and they immediately looked at me
"Sean solo!" Jake said as everyone clapped out of respect
"Break a leg broski!" Josh said from the mirrors as I had to get ready to dance
He definitely had something to do with this
"5!6!7!8!"
I blacked out
Next thing I know everyone was cheering Josh was jumping on me even Jake just was shaking his head at me in disbelief
What just happened?
"I knew something was different when you came back from getting water! You became like a dance genius!" Josh said as I was just confused
"Was I really that good?" I asked
"Dude that was the best thing I've seen in like forever from anyone!" Josh said "What happened?! You were struggling before"
"I just refilled my water bottle ran into Kaycee and came here..." I said
"Wow Kaycee must have gave you some good luck or passed to you some sort of dance super power because that was amazing!!!" Josh said as he's still hyper from my dance
There was static when we touched hands...
But it could just be my best friend being extra again
"You're so crazy"
Class finished and we head out and see most of the other class exit as well and we see through the window Kaycee, Tati, and Bailey still in the studio
I wanted to talk to Kaycee but I don't want to come off as crazy or creepy
They begin to walk out and I see Kaycee notice us but was stuck in between her friends
"I want to talk to Kaycee" I said out loud
"Aw Sean has a crush!" Josh said taking my staring at Kaycee differently
I mean it's not like she isn't pretty but I just have way too many questions about what just happened
"You think you can distract Bailey and Tati for awhile?" I said feeding into his idea I have a crush on Kaycee just so I could talk to her
"Say no more!" Josh said as he somehow separated Kaycee from her friends so I approached her
"I just danced-!!!!
"I just danced-!!!!
We said at the same time
"Uh you first!" I said as we laughed off that moment
"I just danced the best I have ever done I mean ever! Tricia gave me a solo and everyone said I killed it!" Kaycee said as this was getting strange
"Literally the same with me and Jake!" I said as she shared my sentiment that this was weird "Josh said you passed on some super dance power or something"
"That's silly!" Kaycee laughed
"I know but he's Josh!" I said making her laugh harder
She's cute
Focus Sean!
"Let's just say he's right... Are we just great dancers all of a sudden or was it just that one class?" I said
"We might need to experiment with this" Kaycee said
"How?"
"I'll text you, I really need to get home or my mom will kill me!" Kaycee said which was fine but one problem
"Uh Kaycee!"
"Yeah?"
"Um... Can I get your number?" I said as this is the first time I asked for a girl's number
"Oh yeah sure one sec I need yours too!" Kaycee said taking out her phone and we put each other's numbers in
"Kaycee 'Weirdo' Rice?"
"Yeah it helps differentiate me in your contacts now!" Kaycee said seemingly having no problem being called a weirdo
"Okay, you'll text me tonight?"
"Yep! Bye Sean!!!" Kaycee said as she rejoined Tati and Bailey to get in her moms car and Josh came back to me
"Soooooo!!!" Josh said wanting details
"I got her number"
"Yes! My bro is getting all the good luck today!!" Josh said
He wasn't wrong
