Chapter 38

"Where are you?"

"What are you doing here?" I ask, immediately turning around and walking past him

No, I'm not just walking away, very smart me is walking the way that Mason came from.

"Lex-"

"I don't want to hear it, Mason"

"Alex, please"

"Just get me back to the others" I say emptiness filling my voice

"Please don't shut me out" he must refer to my emotionless, cold and harsh voice

I ignore him and stubbornly walk further, still having no clue which way I'm actually going.

I jump in shock as Mason's hand wraps around my wrist. He turns me around and pulls me against him. I collide into his chest and immediately try to step back, but he firmly holds me into place.

"Let me go"

"Look at me, Alex" I look away and clench my teeth, desperately wanting to let the tears out once again

"Why? Don't you want to get rid of me? Don't you want another girl? Do you care that little about me? Are you willing to let go of me that easily? You really don't care if I got together with someone else? Is that how it is?" I ask, the tears now rolling down my face

Okay, I seriously don't know why I am so emotional about this. I mean, it's not that big of a deal. Right...?

He softly grabs my face and makes me look him in the eyes. His thumbs wipe my tears away, while he keeps staring at me. His eyes. They're full of hurt and regret. Yeah, I'm sure he's sorry now, Jayden probably threatened the shít out of him.

"I'm so sorry, Lex, I didn't mean it that way. I really didn't, of course I don't want someone else. You're the only one I want and only the thought of you with someone else makes me furious. You're not getting rid of me that easily" he smiles softly

"Did Jayden threaten you?" I ask suspiciously, hiding the smile that tries to creep up on my face

"I ran after you before he could, he probably will once we're back though" He says awkwardly

"Why did you say what you said?"

Even in the dark, I can see a small blush creeping up his cheeks.

"Ehh, because, ehh"

"Yes?" I motion for him to continue

"BecauseIwasjealousofyouandJakeandConnor" He mumbles very quickly

"Yeah, I didn't get anything you just said" I smile confused at his words

"You look cute"

"Mason"

"I was jealous"

"Of what?" I ask surprised, knitting my eyebrows together in confusion

"You, Jake and Connor" he barely whispers

I start laughing hysterically.

"Don't look so confused" I laugh at him

"What's so funny?"

"You thought-" I burst out in laughter again and Mason sighs in annoyance

"You are jealous of Jake, Connor and I?"

He shrugs and looks quite embarrassed.

"Hey, don't worry about that, okay? We are just friends, I can promise you that. You're the one that I want" I smile at him (and a little bit at the cheesiness and the reverence to grease)

"Mase, look at me" he turns his head towards me and my smile immediately drops

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask him worriedly

"Nothing, don't worry about it"

"Mason"

"Just forget about it" he says as he drops my hands and walks away

"Oh, hell no" I storm after him

I jump in front of him and hold one of my hands on his chest to make him stop.

"Mason, tell me please, what's wrong?"

He sighs deeply and his eyes turn a bit gloomy.

"My mom and dad aren't on a business trip."

I'm sorry for the late update! I had some problems with my internet connection and Wattpad wasn't working on my laptop for a while, but it's all fixed now :)

I can't believe tomorrow is monday again :( Ughhh!
