At the very end of each day
The moon would rise to her place
And as night started to fray
The sun would begin her chase
This way many seasons passed
With this dance across the sky
Two sets of light being cast
As from each other, they'd fly
These two celestial bodies bore
The trace of female curves each
And burning in their very core
Were their hearts, under siege
See, they loved each other dearly
As moon followed day by day
They couldn't touch, but nearly
As sun chased the night away
Slowly, their hearts grew dark
Very existence kept them apart
But their falling tears ignited sparks
Forming stars, cunning and smart
Swirling together, clear and bright
Then starting a trail, one after another
Building a bridge with all their might
Connecting thus both their mothers
The lovers, trapped in a slight daze
Locked together, a new embrace
Though fleeting like a moon phase
They now knew a way through the maze
With every cycle of eternal light
They needed no longer lament
As they found returning delight
If only for the briefest moment
