Aside from playing Iron man in the marvel cinematic universe, Robert Downey Jr. took deep pride in his daughter, Kit Downey. Kit Downey was a treasure to him, and even though she wasn't a famous actress or world renown model, she knew the cast and treated them as if they were her family. She would visit the set where her dad filmed and she would always get the inside scoop on the movies.
Aside from the very simple and bland life she leads as an interior designer, not only does she get the inside scoop on marvel, but the newest actors brought into the cast. And that includes when she finally meets the one and only Tom Holland while on set with her dad for Spider-man: Homecoming.
Throughout their introductions and phase of getting to know each other, Robert Downey Jr. is skeptical of Holland's new bond with his daughter and it takes a lot of time and people to convince him that not only would they be cute together, but Tom makes her happy.
And all he ever wanted was for his daughter is for her to be happy.
