Chapter Four: Ben

The temperature in the room kept rising as my teacher, master Sen, and I kept on fighting. Vibrations went through my arms every time I fisted him. Swiftly I dodged master Sen's left hand, and attacked towards his right shoulder, before swiftly avoided his kick. Master Sen hit my shoulder, then my arm, then my shoulder again. It was a close fistfight, the sweat rained off of us. I could feel every muscle in my biceps tensing while hitting out for master Sen. I hit him. Hard. He sent me an approved glance and hit back. Exclaiming almost every time master Sen hit my shoulder, as I could feel it got sorer and sorer, I changed my tactic and focused on his head and legs instead of his torso and arms. My knuckles aimed for his forehead, as a surprise to him, he avoided my punch with bending backwards. Quickly I kicked my feet at the back of his knee that made him fall to the ground, dazzled he looked around, it was too late for him to notice what hit him. His head hit the ground again, panting. I was still in battle position, ready if he was trying anything.

"Good one Watson. At ease." He chuckled at me as I eased off. Master

Sen got to his feet and dried the sweat off of his brow. "Did you get tired of me hitting your shoulder?"

"Nah, I could take a hit or two more." I joked, as he, a bit harder than necessary, padded my shoulder. He even laughed at my grimacing face as it actually did hurt. Master Sen chuckled at my face in pain. "D'you remember what I told you about electric energy and healing wounds?"

"Yeah. But it doesn't hurt that much." I tried.

"Tell me," master Sen clinched his hand on my shoulder and on my face again turned into a pained grimace. "How many years have you had your powers?"

"Eight years."

"And for how many years have I been your teacher?"

"Eight years." I panted.

"Eight years that's right." Master Sen let out a light cheeky chuckle. Do you remember every time I told you that you aren't a danger, unless you want to be?"

"Aaah-Yes-yes-yes and that counts for healing as well. It's not a danger to me!''

"Correct." He finally let go of my painful shoulder. "So why don't you trust yourself?" I don't know; my gift from the three Gods wasn't actually easy to handle, especially when everything I ever touch ends up being tasered, it will sooner or later haunt you. But master Sen had never lied to me and he knew I could do it. As he wasn't just a master at the material arts, he was categorized under the benders. Fire, to be exact. As a mastered fire bender he knew a lot about how to use the warm energy like fire. I too was categorized under the benders but didn't know as much as him. The benders has evolved a lot in different directions, as the earth benders learn how to bend metal, along with water benders learnt to bend the blood in others veins. On top of that the monks from the mountains in the north and south discovered how fire benders' heat and the water benders knowledge of healing could be combined for healing, which was what master Sen was talking to me about healing myself with my electric energy.

It was like the glove on my hand didn't want to come off my sweaty hands. When it finally came off, I remembered what master Sen had said the first time about healing with bending, and clutched my hand trying to concentrate the energy in to one specific point in my left hand. I could feel my fingers tingling as the energy began bouncing back and forth in my hand and fingers. I slowly reached for my right shoulder, which master Sen had punched over and over. The feeling of an electro magnetic field made me want to rip off my shoulder just not to feel the extreme pain. It felt like a fire running through tight-knotted veins in my shoulder with addition of more punching hits from master Sen. But then the pain slowly disappeared and the knots unknotted themselves.
