"I met the new guys today," Audrey said and I looked at her behind my locker door.

I smirked. "Which one did you find cute?"

She shrugged, drumming her fingers on the books in her hand. "They all were but, their friend is hot. I think his name was Tyler."

"Tyler and Audrey." I faked thinking before smiling smugly. "Sounds cute." She blushed, nudging my arm as I laughed.

"Hey, Audrey." I turned around to two guys that I've never seen before. The one on the left was smiling friendly towards Audrey, showing his pearly whites and his brown eyes sparkling with mischief. The one on the right was staring at me making a chill go down my spine. His brown hair hung over his dark blue eyes that felt like they were piercing through my soul and his lips were in a firm line. He didn't have a single emotion on his face.

"Hey, Jaxon. Hey... uh... I forgot your name." Audrey said to the boy who was staring at me. He looked at Audrey and nodded before stepping off to the side. I guess he didn't want to introduce himself again.

The guy named, Jaxon, shook his head at her and shifted his gaze over to me. I watched as his eyes traveled down my body before meeting my eyes again. "Hi."

I smiled and gave him a small wave.

"You mute or something?" He joked.

I rolled my eyes but, a smile made its way onto my face. "No, I'm not."

He extended his hand out. "Jaxon Falls. The man of your dreams."

I opened my mouth but, the other guy cuts me off. "Let's get going, Jaxon. We have to get to class." He gave me the side eye before walking off. Jaxon gave us both an apologetic smile and jogged up to his friend.

I sighed. "I feel like Jaxon's friend doesn't like me."

She shrugged. "Meh, his loss."

***

Oh right. I did meet Jaxon before...

I looked at Jaxon who was already staring at me. I guess he could tell that I remembered now. "So we made a deal that day. He liked you so he wanted me to stay away and never tell you his name for some odd reason and I can leave the gang I'm in. So we confirmed the deal. He only stayed at Harrison for a week of Junior year before dropping out of high school. But, you stood out like a sore thumb every day I saw you in the halls. It was hard not trying to talk to you but, Audrey told me you hated me for who I am. I kept my distance and I didn't hate you for hating me. I actually like it because it kept me away until the project came along and I finally got to talk to you again. It was refreshing and I enjoyed talking to you but, A-" He stopped himself and cleared his throat. "But, he found out I was talking to you and came after me for it. He threatens me that he'll hurt you and I both. I didn't want you to dragged into this life that I'm trying to stay away from for good. However, I stayed with you just in case he ever tried to harm you."

I took a deep breath, letting everything he said process. "I don't get why he likes me. He didn't even utter a single word to me that day."

Jaxon blinked. "Kimora, you know you have a nice body. That's all it takes for some of the guys around the school to want to get to know you."

I nodded understanding. I faced my body towards him and he sat up straight. "You... don't kill people... right?"

Jaxon shook his head. "No..." He paused. "Not anymore."
