Love you more [ Seokjin ]

Family Themed Series 2 out of 7

"Seohyuk!"

You call out to your 5 year old son from the balcony. He walks out holding the dinosaur doll his father bought him during your US trip a few months ago.

Seokjin smiles as he sees his son lazily walk out into the balcony and into his wife's arms. He sits on his mom's lap and looks towards his father softly, his round eyes twinkles and it melt's Seokjin's heart just looking at him.

"Mommy and Daddy has a surprise for you"

You tell him quietly with a small smile on your face. He smiles widely moving around as he asks

"What is it? Is it a dinosauw?!"

Seohyuk speaks. Seokjin looks at you waiting for his cue. You give him a small nod and Seokjin holds his son's hand looking him in the eyes before telling him

"You're going to have a baby brother / sister!"

Seokjin announces with a smile as you beam along with him. You both look at your son and you see his smile drop. He presses his lips into a thin line and nods

"Okay"

He talks, his small voice echoing in your ears. He climbs down of your leg and walks back in the room. You look at Jin with a confused look. Jin raises a brow before walking back in. He sees Seohyuk sitting infront of the television where his favourite cartoon was playing. He was hugging his toy softly as he watches the show. Seokjin crouches beside him and notices how silent he became. You walk back in and see Seokjin hugging your son making you confused.

Seohyuk runs out of the master bedroom and into his own as soon as his father pulls away. He sits down on the floor and looks up to you.

"I don't know what's going on, he doesn't want to talk."

Seokjin states, You sit on the edge of the bed, placing a palm on his shoulder

"It'll get better soon"

You whisper hoping you were right.

The days quickly past and it had been 4 days since the day you told your son yu were expecting another child. His reaction was a riddle to you. You didn't know whether or not he was happy or sad about it. All you know was he said okay, and you're holding on to the positive definition of this response.

You and your husband observe your little boy and you se him grow quiet. He still played but he barely talked to you now. He used to bother you as you cooked everytime he comes home from preschool, but this time, he would go straight to his playroom. You talked to Seokjin about it and the situation boggled your mind. A week has passed and it drove you crazier by day. What did you do wrong? Until one Wednesday, you and Seokjin planned to talk to your son. You knew he was a little mature for his age and would know how to explain his side anyway.

You go first and walk down the hall to his playroom, not even able to enter the room,  you hear a sniffle. You peak from the little opening of the door and you see your son wiping his tears. You quickly run to his side, hugging his small frame. Seokjin rushes in and kneels infront of you and your son

"Seohyuk-ah what's wrong?"

Seohyuk finally cries loudly, pouting sadly and sniffles

"Mommy and daddy don't love me anymore"

He says in between hiccups. You frown, worried. You were more confused. Seokjin takes him in his arms parting his back

"What do you mean, buddy?"

He asks his son

"Mom and Dad will love the baby more and you will hate Seohyuk-ah"

He wails, as tears flowed down his cheek

Your heart aches seeing your son cry over a thought that excited the most out of you.

"Shh, babe. That's not true, Mommy and Daddy will love you as much as we do right now even when we get another baby"

Your son stops crying but the pout stayed. His face was red and his cheeks has tear stains. You wipe your thumb under his eyes planting a kiss on his forhead.

"Mommy will never love you less. Daddy will never love you less either. Mommy and Daddy will love Seohyuk forever!"

You tell him and he looks at you.

"But you will have new baby and and you will not love Seohyuk"

Your son murmurs and you shake your head

"No, buddy. We will love you as much. And your brother/sister will love you too, and you should love him/her too because that's what we do. We love each other"

He explains to his son rubbing his back softly.

"Pwomise?"

Your son holds up his pinky to you and you gladly wrap your pinky with his

"Promise."

He gives a small smile before turning to his father

"Pwomise?"

He asks his father this time

"I promise, Seohyuk"

Jin states wrapping his pinky with his.

Seohyuk finally smiles widely, wrapping his arms around the two of you trying to hug you both making you and Jin laugh

"We love you"

You and Seokjin say in chorus, sealing the family hug.
