You have your ground breaking change,
You have your social progress too,
But that is not what I need.
There is already so many voices in my head,
All clamoring to be heard,
More numerous ones out in the world.
But that's not what I need.
What I need is a trusted friend,
Or family that I love,
To talk about things with.
I need no wars be fought,
No battle cries from the unjust.
Or slowly building lies,
Or an explosion that blinds.
What I need is a small light.
That would be enough.
That is enough.
As I am surrounded by family, friends,
And love.
