"OH MY GOD," your mom screams at the sight of you unconscious on the bathroom floor with alcohol and an empty pill bottle.

She picks you up, takes you to the car, and rushes you to the emergency room.

I open my eyes and rub them as I stood up from where I was laying. Once my eyes adjusted to the light, I realized I was in a hospital bed. I looked around and see a handsome doctor.

"Why am I here," I asked the doctor.

The doctor sighed as he looked at the paper on his clipboard. He looked at me and said,"well, honey, you almost overdosed on pills while you were intoxicated with alcohol. Don't worry, honey, you're okay now."

I sighed and whispered under my breath,"too bad I survived."

"What was that, honey," the doctor asked as he tilted his head and smiled.

"Nothing, Doctor," I say as I look for his name tag,"ummm, Jeon,"

Doctor Jeon chuckled and said,"I'm glad you survived, honey. Always remember that someone cares about you. Anyways, call me Jungkook."

I tear up a little and smile as I say,"thanks, Jungkook."

"No problem, honey. Do you have any questions," Jungkook asks.

"Well," I say smiling,"do you call everyone honey?"

Jungkook laughs and says,"not really. In fact, you're the only one I have called honey."

"I'm flattered," I say,"my name is y/n by the way."

"I know," Jungkook says smiling,"it says that here. Plus, I'm your doctor now, so I should know."

"Oh," I say as I tilt my head,"you know, you seem pretty young. How old are you?"

"I'm 20," Jungkook says smiling,"I graduated high school very early. Then went to medical school."

"Tell me about it," I said,"I'm curious."

"Well," Jungkook says,"I started kindergarten when I was 4 and finished first grade. I skipped the second semester of first grade and went to second grade. Then, I completely skipped the third and fourth grade. I then completed fifth grade and culminated at age seven."

"Wow," I say,"that's so cool. Tell me more."

"Thanks and sure. So I completed ninth grade and skipped the tenth by taking summer classes. I finished one semester of eleventh grade then skipped to twelfth for the second semester. I did a lot of extra credit and online classes too. I aced my finals and graduated at age ten. I did four years of college and four years of medical school and one year of residency training. I finished that when I was nineteen and now, I'm here."

"That's very impressive," I say,"good job."

"Thank you," Jungkook says,"tell me about you and school."

"Well," I start,"I graduated high school early at seventeen. Now, I'm taking courses in photography."

"Why give up all your hard work," Jungkook asked with a more serious tone.

"School was a breeze. I didn't work hard. The only hard work I did was with people. They'd make fun of me because of my parents," I say looking down. I inhaled until it hurt and exhaled until I felt nothing.

Jungkook gently lifts up my head with his index finger and says,"you know, you've been very strong. Don't give up, honey. I know it hurts, but things get better."

"Thanks," I say as a few tears roll down my cheeks.

Jungkook wipes my tears and says,"you might have a lot of scars, but they're battle scars. You have fought off a lot of bad people."

I scoffed and say,"you're sweet. I really appreciate it, but I obviously haven't fought them off."

"I know," Jungkook says smiling,"but you survived." He held one of my hands and says,"you have to promise me that you'll keep fighting, y/n. I know we just met, but I do care. If you need anything, I'm here. As a friend or a doctor."

"Thank you," I say,"I promise."
