I run to her and hug her.

"I missed you, mom" I smile

She smiles back and hugs Jayden, who came walking in too. Mason greets her as well.

"Mom, does Mark stay here this weekend?" Jayden asks mom, who just nods and walks away

I gulp and look at Jayden.

"Why'd you ask?"

I haven't told him, have I?

"I don't really like the guy, why? Has he done something to you?"

"Uh, no, don't worry about it" I smile and take a quick look at Mason, who shakes his head disapprovingly at me

Jayden nods and walks away.

"Now Little A, what did you learn about lying?" he says, while getting closer to me

"That it's bad?" I answer confidently, but it comes out more like a question than an answer

I feel the door against my back and Mason traps me against it, by putting his hands on both sides of my head. Good thing Jayden isn't here right now.

"Now I have to punish you, Little A" he smirks

"And what may that punishment be?" Jayden asks.

Never mind.

Mason sighs deeply and lays his head against the door, he groans and I'm pretty sure he mumbles some colorful words under his breath.

"Oh, sorry, did I interrupt something?" Jay smirks as he raises one eyebrow

"No, you came exactly at the right moment" I innocently smile at Jayden and wink at Mason.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's finally spring break and we're having dinner. With Mark. Mason made sure that he couldn't sit next to me. He can be a gentleman sometimes *wink*.

Mark has tried a few times to start a conversation with me, but Mason starts talking to me or asks my mother a question when he does. And I'm really thankful for that.

After dinner I walk upstairs and Mark follows me. I ignore him and walk in my room. He follows me and I turn around.

"What do you want now, Mark?" I ask irritated

"You should watch it, Cherry. I know you told Mason about me. Another slip and you're not living here anymore" he threatens me

But surprisingly, I'm not scared of him. I know Mason will protect me if I need it.

"Oh, I'm supposed to be scared now?"

He grabs a knife out of his pocket and closes my door. He pushes me against the wall and –surprise, surprise– he puts the knife against my neck.

"What does everybody have with knifes?" I roll my eyes

Knock knock

Mark signs that I have to keep quiet, but I smirk at him.

"Come in"

Mason walks in and clenches his fists immediately when he takes the scene in front of him in.

Mark grabs another knife and points it at Mason.

"Stay where you are, pretty boy, or else" Mark gestures with his knife that he will slice my neck.

Pff, like he will actually do it.

"Dang, you're a cold-hearted murderer" I say fake-scared
